Just says it isn't available in your country.

Completed all the offers and it still says 0 coins.

I have Parcel Motel as an address too.

I was able to complete all purchase except the "Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas"

But still show as "You have 0 Amazon Coins"

Only problem is trying to find something worthwhile to spend these coins on, not much in the amazon app store.

Just got Podcasts HD, seems to be a decent, light, ad-free podcast app - better than others I've tried in Play Store.

Where do i check my balance? :o

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,209 ✭✭✭maximoose

If you click on into any app's product page, it'll tell you your balance on the right hand side of the screen.

Or open the Amazon Appstore app on your phone/device.

I want that Adventure Time Card Wars game but won't work on my phone :(

Anything I need to do to make sure I'll get the coins?

Ah ok, well i have zero then.

  • I think I figured out why people are getting 0 coins. I "purchased" the nine 100 coin apps. When I went to get GTA San Andreas it said I couldn't purchase it due to geographical reasons.

Anyway I eventually got to "Manage Your Kindle" and changed my address to my Parcel Motel one. Then I tried a random free app and wouldn't you know it I got credited 6 coins for it!

Looks like I missed out on the 900 coins....unless there's a way to give back the nine 100 coin apps and re-buy? :(

    :edit: There is! :)

Care to share how you give them back?

    Thanks got my coins 2...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,893 ✭✭✭The_B_Man

I came out with San Andreas and 2701 coins.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,451 ✭✭✭blastman

Thanks for the help guys, I've come out with 2801 coins and San Andreas, which I won't be able to play as this version only works on Kindle Fire (I have a Nexus tablet). :( Plus some other free apps (although a few of them are Kindle exclusive as well). The main benefit is the free £28 credit, though.

If you are unable to download or are not getting coins you will need to go to the manage your kindle option in Amazon account settings then go to Country settings and change your country to the UK address you have set up (google or parcel motel).

Then go to http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=201357740 and delete any apps you have downloaded for this promotion and then re-download them this should get your coins.

Worked for me on my Moto G. Set up the account and had my newly set up parcel motel as the delivery address, was able to get most of the coins (didn't get 200 coins voucher yet) and now have San Andreas, Vice city and MC:PE with at least 2000 coins left, free!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 410 ✭✭DaraDali

Got all except for Vice city ! did this happen to anyone else?

  • I don't think Vice City is part of the promotion mate. San Andreas but not Vice City.

not sure how i managed to get halfway through before i realised the same thing. :D

my effort versus reward seesaw has definitely tipped the other way with old age.:p

  • It's actually not lads! I did it on my laptop and was easy peasy in the end. Once you have the right address selected in the "Manage Your Kindle" bit then it's a walk in the park.

Exactly, just set the main delivery address on your account as the Parcel Motel one and the rest of the way should be grand. :)

This explains everything you need to do. It's perfectly easy, done in 5 mins. Where would ya get 28 quid for 5 mins effort sitting in front of your phone/PC ?

I didn't bother with step 2. Happy with my 2,601pts.

    Cheers OP.

Nice one OP, got me some good games to play on some long haul flights now! Can't believe vice city is now on my phone.

Do you actually have to download the apps to get the coins or just buy them on amazon.co.uk?

Just buy them, you can download them later using the Amazon Apps App.

Yeah there is a pretty poor choice of apps really. I looked but there's nothing there I want.

I hope the free coins don't expire at any stage.

They last for a year I think.

  • Poor selection but I did pick up:

    Sleep As Android
    Light Flow
    Root Explorer
    Plants Vs Zombies
    Picsay Pro
    Monument Valley
    Terraria

I wanted Zooper Widget Pro but for some strange reason I couldn't use my coins...which is a bit silly really. Would be grateful for any other recommendations as I have 944 coins left!

Minecraft Pocket edition would be a great time killer, although nowhere as good or in-depth as the Console/PC counterparts, still great to mess about on and for free? Can't really complain.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,451 ✭✭✭blastman

I bought the full version of Plex using the free coins, dead handy as I've just bought a Chromecast...

  • Just a reminder that the year is almost up and the coins will be expiring any day now. If anybody could suggest something to splurge on before the deadline I'd be most grateful although I'd say I have everything that's decent. I still have 600 coins burning a hole in my cyber pocket though.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,209 ✭✭✭maximoose

Christ I still have 1400! Thanks for the reminder

There's an awful lot of crap in the Amazon appstore, spending these is gonna be harder than it should be

Thanks for the reminder. I've 1400 to spend.

I grabbed some of the GTA games. No intention of installing them yet but I might at some stage. Looking at Catan too as I don't own the board game. Could be good to pass an evening sometime.
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic is supposed to be good too.

Their store is not nice for browsing through :(

I find it easier to browse on the pc, the app is quite crappy

Got Comicat as I was looking for a decent CBR reader and it seems to be ok. Also got Runtastic Pro and Jamie's 20 minute meals for the craic.

Just used up over 2000 coins there, thanks for the reminder...

I have 7938 coins and no idea what to get. If only all the telltale games were on the store.

I did spot the Borderlands game on there earlier. Seems to only be coming up on the website for some reason. Haven't tried to buy it because I played through the first one on Xbox 360 and paid zero attention to the story ☺

this would be great news if there was anything worth buying on the amazon store. The Fire stick is not elligible. Funny that.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 725 ✭✭✭talking_walnut

Chainfires SuperSU Pro is on the website. Don't know if I "need" it but no harm in supporting the dev.

There does seem to be some interesting stuff hidden away on the store. It's finding it that can be the problem.

They all (?) do seem to be available on the store. No idea if you can use the coins for in-app purchases though.
