What percentage of your posts have been thanked?

I guess this percentage is a pretty good reflection on whether your posts are valuable at all to anyone and hence a reflection on whether you're in any way a good and productive poster on boards.

According to my statistics, it lies at about 42% which, I think you'll agree, is a reflection on the quality of my posts.

So go into your stat centre and work out the percentage, indeed, we may end up finding out who the most popular member is on boards.

Moreover, if you haven't got a high %, you'll have to come up with some embarrassing reasons!

Not sure what percentage of my posts have been thanked, but I've got 23,500 odd thanks and just shy of 15,000 posts. I've more thanks than posts, so I got that going for me, which is nice.

Mine is 41% and my posts are rubbish so dont be patting yourself on the back too much

You're just lacking in confidence.

Maybe a better measure would be to work out the average number of thanks per post, in which case mine works out at 1.78 thanks/post.

19.7%...wow...even I didn't think that was possible. As we know from school, 40% or less is a fail.

Boards.ie should introduce a form of eugenics whereby if a poster doesn't achieve a consistent 40% thank-rate in their first 100 posts then they get auto-banned.

I had no idea that an objective judgement of "quality" was indicated by popularity. Thank for this insight.
