    Good evening.

Now that I have your attention, I would like to talk to you today about something that has been playing on my mind for quite some time.

Doctor Hook And The Medicine Show were fcuking awesome!

If anyone here tonight has any reason to think otherwise please state it below and I will tear you a new asshole.

Or discuss the merits of your opinion, whichever is more convivial.:)

Storms never last, do they baaaby?!!

Bad times all pass with the winds
Your hand in mine steals the thunder
You make the sun want to shine
Oh, I followed you down so many roads, baby
I picked wild flowers and sung you soft sad songs

She's trying to start a new life of her own down Galveston way, why would anyone mention her?

Is that the end? Or do you want to put another 40c for the next 3 mins? By the way ....... it's past your bedtime!

Sesquipedality: n. A fondness for using words such as "sesquipedality".

Thank you for your humorous retort, Arfur!
    Never heard of it before.

I remember seeing a docu years and years ago about this guy who had been broke all his life and but had just became a millionaire (can't remember if he won the lotto or what) but he loved Dr.Hook and at the very end of it, it showed him sitting in a convertible merc, with Dr'Hook's The Millionaire playing full blast, with him singing along and punching the air as he sang along with the line: I'm a millionaire. Would love to see it again, but can't remember what the damn thing was called.

Pass that roach please and pour the wine // I'll kiss yours if you'll kiss mine

I'm gonna boogie till I go blind // We're freakin at the freaker's ball

Have you had this obsession with Dr Hook lyrics for long?

    I must admit,

Dr. Hook wasn't my first love, it wasn't my last, but wasn't it sweetest of all?

Nothing to do with the thread, but I thought I'd bring things back in line with the thread title....

I've a friend who went to see Pink Floyd at Earl's Court. The one that was released as the 'Pulse' live album. The fcucker talked with obvious glee about nothing else for months beforehand. Made us all sick with 'broke student' envy. Anyway, ye guessed it, he started into the quare stuff on the afternoon of the gig, took his seat at show time, fell asleep, and missed the whole lot. His experience of the show is exactly the same as mine. He saw it on a DVD.

Of course, he does get to say 'I was there that night'. He rarely does though...

    :D
