I got a new PC with Win 8.1 to replace a Win XP machine. It insists on a complex password, and will not let me have no password, and I have to type this in every time I start windows. I tried that and it found stuff so I am confident that my new computer is now clean as new.

Not sure how this came about to be honest because I am careful.
