there will be another in june..

the way the side tournies get picked is that there a vote on our facebook group
    https://www.facebook.com/groups/347789212009819/

winning game is played at the next tournament and defends during the next vote..
losing games get eliminated from the voting list temporarily

thought it could be a fun way to decide which games get played

so get involved, join and vote for your favourite game every month

I'd consider changing it to a white background simply to save ink :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 346 ✭✭jimmypenguin

i thought of that but its not as catchy.

i put up 7 posters for the last event and we got one new player out of it..

besides look at that sf logo... pretty cool, wouldnae work on a white background me thinks..

I can sort of confirm myself at this for Tekken. I think there is a train leaving Heuston at 08:00 and arrives in Galway at 10:20ish. Dunno how I'm gonna get to Heuston on Sunday morn yet, with the lack of buses that time. Also, the last one from Galway leaves 18:00, dunno if the tournament's going to be going on for longer than that.

i imagine tekken is finished by 5 o clock, to get you on the train but if your gonna come all that way im sure someone can put you up for the night or can get a later bus home?

I actually don't know a soul who lives in Galway City. I might be able to get on the direct bus to Dublin and Galway and back.

Contrary to what Johnny Joyce would have you believe, the last bus back to Dublin from Galway goes at 8:15pm, and takes about 2 and half hours. Grand ol' trip.

bus and train take pretty much the same amount of time

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 346 ✭✭jimmypenguin

if you need a place to stay it will be no problem..

I thought City-Link and Gobus ran services later than that.

Only from Dublin to Galway. Galway to Dublin service stops after 8pm. I didn't realise that the last time and had to wait until 1:15am to get the next bus back to Dublin.

I didn't think that bus times still changed on sundays. I thought that idea went out the door years ago, way back when people still watched The Late Late Show.
