    Hi,

Would you recommend this shake for building muscle size, while remaining lean?

I am around the 81KG mark and struggling to push beyond this. Target would be 90KG.

I tried drinking more milk but found myself putting on fat around waistline.

    Thanks!

There is no product that will allow you to do what you want.

You are trying to increase your mass, you will gain some fat in the process.

    Two options:

Eat well slightly over maintenance and train hard and you will be 90kg in 1-2 years while remaining reasonably lean

Eat well a lot over maintenance and train hard and you will be 90kg in 6 months, then cut to strip the fat, then eat over maintenance again till you are 95kg and cut back to 90kg. this will take 1-2 years.

At the end of the day it will take you 1-2 years to add 10kg of lean mass to your frame.

Peanut butter is a good source of dense calories.

You wont build significant muscle and not put on fat unless you do it really really slowly.

The product you linked is just whey protein and expensive carbs+sugars. If you want a gainer then mix whey protein, a banana, peanut butter, milk and oats. 1-1.5k calories easy and a fraction of the price.

Obviously there is no quick fix but would this stuff be any better?

Or is it just clever marketing?

Marketing. Standard whey protein has little apart from protein in it anyway.
