Damaged my lower back really badly on the 3rd tee box , managed to play the full round which I know has only done me more harm .

Ill book to get it checked during the week but I prey it's not to bad . Really gutted if I have to take time off as I'm really hitting the ball well and planned to spend alot of time practicing short game in the coming weeks

Golf itself is a good game, but pity about the type of people that play it.

Went back to back pars on low index holes then back to back triples on the easier ones.

Nothing like topping a hybrid, probably the easiset club to hit, into the water after sticking a 4i to within 15ft of the pin on the last hole.

Didnt connect with the 3w well at all all round. Nailing it last round.

I'll be back after the next round.

I did the same thing back in November. Turned out I slipped a disk and got sciatica. No golf for 3 months.

If I feel even a twinge from now I, I'm going straight in.

I haven't broken a club in six months which may sound positive but I've actually broken seven to date. Light weight pieces of crap.

Went to the range this evening, knew exactly what I wanted to do: practice getting a neutral stance with face slightly open, everthing going great, but I did what I do everytime I'm at the range, I tinker and by the end I'm in a compelety different setup and won't know what to do when I hit the course on wedensday for an open comp.

Cold therapy will reduce inflammation and swelling and give you some pain relief. You should supplement the healing process with exercises and stretches in order to stimulate blood flow frequently. A standard part of that therapy would be to stimulate blood flow, because the more we promote blood flow, the faster we will heal. And even after healing, you should keep it up as to prevent further injury. Your body continues to heal itself long after the pain has disappeared. It is very common for the full healing process to continue for 2 years or longer, even for rather minor injuries. Message me for further information.

Booked to see the physio tomorrow . Couldn't go into work this morning as last night i got little sleep with it .

I'm just second guessing here but when I played soccer (only gave up 2 years ago ) I had to see a physio at least once a season due to my hips been out of line and this caused pain in my lower back , groins even caused horrible stiffness in my neck . I would get popped back into place and would be good to go .

So hoping it's just a case of the same tomorrow . Thinking of it been disc damage is quite scary to be honest .

Just hit a perfect tee shot?

Just a flicked wedge left to the green?

Here's a Double Bogey for you.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,300 ✭✭✭✭razorblunt

Smashed my drive on my 9th hole, you really need to get it round a corner to attack the green, was heading straight down the middle, kicked forward, even the playing partner commented "perfect position". Walked down to it, ball was nowhere to be found, what the actual fock?

Generally until the ball stops going in the hole. Its obviously broke at that point and a new one should be ordered.

Neither does he, he even had a plaster cast made and hit balls wearing it to try and change, eventually gave up and worked with what he had.

I haven't been able to hit a driver consistently in years now, lucky to hit 6 fairways a round. When I miss I miss huge.

In this time I've shot 68 and anywhere up to 90's. It's disgusting and has sowered my appetite for the game. I miss being a spectacle on the tee for the right reasons 😒

Don't fancy getting there from 200 plus? Split it into two wedges, hook the bejaysus out of the first behind a tree to reward your clever course management. ...

Shot 77 at the weekend for 34 pts. Not a bad round you might say. Except I had 5 x 3 putts, one of them for par!!

Booking a round at a great course with your trusted golfing buddies,
clubs cleaned, everything in order and ready to go,
hit the first green in regulation and see the thing has been raped by the pitchfork,
the pain of it kills me

Putt great on Saturday, can't drive the ball out of my way.
Drive great on Sunday, can't hold a putt from over 3ft.

    I hate this bloody game.

    Yellow balls.

Whoever said they were easier to see in the winter needs their head examined.

Yellow balls without the longjohns on, I need my head examined.

Rooting around the shed found a lightly used pair of Ecco shoes.
Wondering why I hadn't worn them much I decided to try them on Sunday.
3 holes in I knew why.
Played 12 in them and now my left heel is shredded. All bound up with duct tape and gauze.

Should be fine for Sunday though - minus the Ecco shoes 😀

Hadnt played in 2 weeks . Would be a strong fader / slicer.watched youtube videos for the 2weeks . Hooked the s**t out of every drive.

I'm paying over a grand for the membership. Then 7 plus 2 (2s club) every competition which I'm easily playing 50+ every year. Another tenner to enter the 'winter league' which consist of 6 comps. Now the daylight window of play is reduced to 8 - 12:30 and even though I'm in the winter league I can't get a f**** tee time unless I go to the 'draw' for the tee times on the saturday prior costing at least another tenner for a couple of pints wtf. So thats now the bones of 20 euro per round on top of the membership to play some crappy winter hack I can't even get a cut or a .1 for.

I understand some of that is voluntarily but still...

Same here - got a new (free) sleeve of balls (PROV1s) with a new pair of shoes.

A week or so in am thinking the shoes are a bit too big.

Take out brand new prov1s - masssive slice OB and lost.

Serves me right. New Prov1s are for fools.

heard rumours to that effect, but has he ever confirmed them?

......anyway once I've returned them and gotten them out of my sight I'll have the same number of shoe bags as he has Majors :D

......and saying that, if I could play half as well as his actual shoe bag I'd be chuffed with myself :D
