Thanks so much! I so badly needed new ones.

Is it wrong that I now have €255 worth of towels for €54 :D

It would have been rude not to go for the free delivery on orders over €50.

I've not actually brought Kingsley towels before and could not be bothered heading to town in the rain to check them out although would of been a good test to see how absorbent they are. I opted for the Kingsley Cable Towels which are 100% Cotton, 600gsm the same as my current towels that have done me well for the last 4/5 years but could do with replacing now.

    According to WikiHow
"Cotton towels are best for hands and bodies"
"The GSM (grams per square meter) is a big factor – anything higher than 550gsm is a good towel."

Eventually had it accept PayPal only to crash when redirecting me from PayPal back to merchant's site. Email confirmation from PayPal but nothing from Arnotts! No way to check order on Arnotts unless I have the order number - which I guess is in the missing email.

Knew there was a reason I swore many years back never to use buy4now or any company powered by them again.

I just bought mine and had issues with paypal, switched to enter card details and had no trouble.

I usually like to feel the thickness and absorbency beforehand but most brands carried by Arnotts are pretty good. Thanks OP:)

Littlewoods had a similar deal going there yesterday. Could be worth a try.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,434 ✭✭✭positron

Worry not - I placed my order earlier today, and the confirmation email said this:
Please note that Arnotts do not charge your account until all products are ready to dispatch, (excluding Furniture orders where payment is required in full at the time the order is placed) - in the event of some products not immediately being in stock, the Arnotts online team will contact you with estimated lead times.

So with half of boards.ie ordering these towels in dozens since yesterday, it's rather likely that they ran out of stock by yesterday evening. I think it's only reasonable to expect a lot of us to get full / part cancellation emails or calls. And of course there will be many tut tutting and 'bloody disgrace' shouted at here. Your typical BA!

They are no longer available, either sold out or removed.

There are plenty in Arnotts itself. Bargain of the year? Almost, xtravision marketplace still clinches it ;)

Anyone know If there are any still left in store on Henry St?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,174 ✭✭✭✭mrcheez

On Friday there were around 25 bath sheets in around 3 different colours, but there were around 100 of the bath towels left, so you could probably pick up something if you went in.

Personally the bath towels aren't worth it as they're more like "travel size". The bath sheets are the proper wrap-around towels.

I picked up a Red Oslo and a hand-towel and they're fab (bargain at €12!)
