Just checking if anyone else has experienced one hamstring being considerably tighter than the other that hasn't responded to massage, hot yoga, three weeks rest or three sessions of dry needling?

I'm all run out of ideas unless I go to another type of medical professional. Doctor, chiropractor, physical thereist etc

try foam rolling , using a sliotar / lacrosse ball , and doing something similar to this

Lacrosse ball on the tight spot is definitely great therapy.
If your not already working with a good physio then get one.
Maybe the tight hamstring is weaker than the other? Good physio will tell pretty quick.

Hamstrings can be tight due to any number of other muscles not being right - lower back, glute, upper back, foot, calf.

put sliotar/baseball/lacrosse ball on the ground and roll your foot over it for 30 secs. 2/3 goes on each foot.
foam roll the **** out of it. Long stretch hold - 30 secs.
do the same for glutes, calves.

Thanks all for your advice. The foam rolling with a sliothar I have been doing on my glutes, hamstrings and calves though I was in with the chiropractor Saturday morning and it feels like this made some sort of progress - he mentioned a tight sacrilliac joint. Tried an epsom salt bath also but didn't note any difference from it.
