Two men fight on the Tube

Not sure if anyone has seen this yet. Basically the old geezer hits a few digs on the younger lad. The younger lad then flips and hits a few digs back before delivering a knee to the face knocking the old guy unconscious. All the while the man who is filming it is shouting 'Leave it, calm down' :rolleyes:

I honestly am conflicted with this. On one hand the aul geezer done himself no favours but on the other hand he is an old geezer and to knock him unconscious ffs??!!.... He could be up for manslaughter had the aul guy died due to his injuries.
Id like to think the young lad should have controlled himself but he did take a box in the stones.

I'd agree somewhat with that and had the same feeling initially ... you should walk away from 'eccentrics' and laugh, but the ol fella did go for the balls, and that means all rules are out.

Come on! I hate this argument. He could have been perfectly fine. They guy he attacked could have been mentally ill.
Regardless, if the young guy was being attacked he had a right to fight back. The knee was too much and a scummy move but nothing wrong with the punches.
Would you say the same if the young guy started this and the old on knocked him out?

The young guy has fought a lot, at some stage, so the old boy was a silly git who quite possibly found what he wasn't looking for. The speed the old lad starts throwing punches at a stranger suggests he is a stroppy type - how many people resort to punching and then go for the groin, if you are not used to trying to hurt people? Young buck is cool as a cucumber, clocks him with an elbow, then finishes with his knee - so he's fought a good bit. I do believe they deserve one another, fate threw them together, with the younger lad being the instrument of further education in this case.

100%, lad knows a bit alright, controlling the head is a dead giveaway and the knee is also a tell tale as that is not a natural attack for untrained fighters.

The old lad was stupid but one or 2 punches would have sufficed, just to let him know what you can do and that this is a bad idea. If the old lad continues, then another one or two. Absolutely no need for the knee.

I wouldn't knee an old chap in the face. Unwarranted. After the elbow to the face and the couple of punches, the old guy was done and dusted. The knee was completely unnecessary.

It does appear unclear whether the younger man was about to walk away before he got the two punches to the balls, or whether it was like many said here, he was just putting his ipad away.

Hard really to know who was to blame without seeing the whole incident, although you can imagine the thought processes of the younger man: he calmly takes a couple of jabs to the head thinking 'OK this guy is old, I'll let him have his moment,' sometimes not reacting to punches is a way of demonstrating how little he is intimidated by the other party.

That having been said, when he then gets up and receives not one but TWO punches to the groin, the first one may have been imagined like 'OK you're really pushing it now' and the second one was the straw that broke the camel's back.

Irrespective of who is doing the hitting, it is extremely difficult to just sit there and keep being hit while doing nothing yourself. The blood pressure continues to rise and rise and the temper threshold gets lower and lower. Eventually you just have to leave or fight back and even though the latter is probably the least sensible option, it is perfectly understandable.

Maybe the old guy had been intimidating him and he lost the rag.If he had his tablet out chances are the young guy was minding his own business.

Having said that, the young guy was right to "defend himself" (although he could have restrained the old guy and waited for the po po), but the final knee was reckless and potentially lethal. Asking for a manslaughter charge doing that.

The sack punch from the aul lad was a low blow. Literally. But he's an aul fella going nuts, he could have dementia, or maybe he's locked.

As for the young lad, I mean its not cool to put that much power into sorting out a little aul fella. Some members of the public are going about their day to day business, looking quite normal, but could be on a the verge of snapping at minute, due to unseen stress.

I'd like to think with a sounder mind, and without being hit in the jaffas, he wouldn't lay into an aul dude like that.

People only stand up and start shouting calm down after the young guy starts attacking back. What's that about? Why weren't they shouting when the old lad started hitting him in the face? He tried to punch him in the balls, forget about leaving him off because he's old, he knew what he was trying to do and he got knocked out, of course it looks scummy that he kicked him in the face, fighting on a tube is scummy.

Just going by what we can see, the old guy had it coming BUT there was no need for the knee as he had him already overpowered by the elbow and punches.

In the end he just made himself look like a scumbag for going too far.
