Just got a call from friend about this- had planned on parking in Clonliffe college - but it seems it's shutdown! FFS! Now if it was 'Simple Minds', 'Aerosmith' or 'Wham'........there would be a point!

Where to park? Have to leave afterwards to travel South.

Also, we don't allow ticket sales/swaps. Try adverts or toutless.ie

I hope parents will be able to control their wild kids.

Buts its the 16 and 17 year olds with under age drinking.

Then there's the legal age for drinking of 18, 19, 20, 21, 22 year olds. And they dont care.

Let loose in Dublin for 3 days and they dont care.

If anything happens. It'll be used as an excuse to try and cancel the Garth Brooks gigs.

    Two different age demographics.

Do you really think that the only people who get drunk and cause hassle in the country are all aged under 22?

I doubt there will be many 16 to 22 years old at One Direction the next few nights, it will mainly be under 14s and their parents so your definition of the drinking crowd probably won't be present.

Yep, and it's the older demographic that'll cause most of the hassle, I'd rather the fanta filled ****ers (love that expression) than the middle aged mammies who can't handle their chardonnay.

There will be complaints - no matter how well organised this event is, there will be some parents not happy with something and they will be out in force on FB and Joe Duffy to make sure everyone knows.

I remember reading about the Hardwell gig in Belfast in February.

50 people taken to hospital over taking drink and drugs on the bus before the gig.

Thats something 20 year olds will do and you cant stop them.

    http://www.belfasttelegraph.co.uk/news/local-national/northern-ireland/dj-hardwell-belfast-gig-chaos-children-claim-to-have-taken-heroin-ecstasy-and-legal-highs-29991117.html

If they want drink, they will get it. Maybe not at it, maybe after the the gig. Kids being as young as 13 or 14. They wont be able to handle it.

Don't try and pass their irresponsibility onto the Garth Brooks fans.

    Waste of money.

Our seats turned out to be so far back we couldn't even see the stage.

Sound was pathetic and he didn't even play Friends in Low Places.

If we were in the 60s we'd be giving out about the Beatles and their devote young following.

But wait a sec, The Beatles wrote and played their own material, they were musicians and songwriters. OD have songwriters on staff and they don't play instruments. Popular music turned upside down, pop has really dumbed down and unfortunately a split has occurred, the boy/girl bands are part of the 'entertainment' industry while musicians are part of the music industry.

There is too much money to be made to have One Direction sitting around writing songs.

The Beatles did definitely start with the hysteria being bigger than the music. Concerts where nobody could hear the music, gangs of girls chasing after them.

Who knows, if One Direction calms down a bit, they might do something worthwhile.
