Leave him at it, he might find water save you a fortune on water charges.

Nope, no pets here. The house is a bit hectic so we don't have the time a lovely doggy would deserve :o

Yep. A loveable idiot of a dog who's currently sleeping on the sofa and farting like there's no tomorrow.

I would change the diet your dog is on, a farting dog is a ticking time bomb.

Nah, the pic is over a year old, but it's my favourite pic of her

I used to have all sorts of pets and really miss having one. Impossible to have one at the moment :( Hopefully in a few years time I'll be able to have a dog. Or two. And a cat. Or two. And a bunny. And ah well... I always wanted a lizard as well.
Friends' pets have to do for now.

I had the loveliest cheekiest cat until about half 7 this evening. Knock on the door and a man asking me if I had a black cat. The little fella was killed instantly after he ran out in front of the van. Stupid ****ing road outside has taken so many of my cats.

Have a 10 year old fox red lab called Max (full name Maximus, after the gladiator character) gorgeous dog, couldn't ask for a better pet!

Then there's Piglet, our newest edition, a pug/cavalier cross pup - she's the cheekiest, most mischievous little munchkin I've ever come across and she hasn't got two brain cells to rub together...in front of the fam I pretend I can't stand her but she's secretly growing on me :o

    There's the two of 'em

I have a hyper golden retriever. He only recognises about three human words (one of which is coffee) but we love him nonetheless.

ETA: sorry to hear about your cat :(

I've had loads of dogs, always breaks my heart when they die so haven't had one in a while. Last pet was a cat. He died of FAIDS...little champ though. I'm thinking of getting a siberian husky pup for my birthday.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,808 ✭✭✭Stained Class

When I was growing up, we had dogs. They were all called Shep. Shep 1, Shep 2..& so on. There were a fair few Sheps, as we lived beside a busy road..

Not as many people seem to have dogs now, I find.

We have no pets ourselves. Self & the Missus both work, so a dog is out of the question.

The kids would like a pet & sometimes express their desire for one.

    We always refuse.

A Giraffe might be nice though. Something different.

    I've like a goddamn zoo.

I have a degu, there was another one but she died nearly 3 months ago. I thought she'd get lonely after the other one died so I moved her into the kitchen with all the other animals. I think she actually preferred having the cage to herself because she's become a hell of a lot more friendly, she loves being rubbed on the cheeks and raises her little arm for a scratch on her belly :pac:

There's 3 rabbits; A dwarf, dwarf / lionhead, and a full lionhead. The lionhead is a monster, it's the youngest of the three but towers over them and eats like a machine. The dwarf rabbit is like a house cat by the way she follows you everywhere and gets angry if you don't pet her, grunts like a toad.

Then there's the guinea pig, another monster with a black hole for a stomach and is an endless shìtting machine, he's cool though.

There's a dwarf hamster, his buddy died 2 months ago from a tumour and he became depressed for a while (just slept all the time) but he's back to his normal, bite-all-your-fingers, self.

Did have a Syrian hamster but he died back in October after being sick for a short period. He was the first of our animals to die so the realisation at the time that our animals won't be around forever was daunting.

Still, love having them all and knowing all of their different personalities. The degu squeaks at you if you tell her to stop fùcking around with her cage door :pac:

I'm very much into animals, right now I've got 2 dogs, one is a mutt, he's a golden retreiver/pitbull like dog, he's nearly 5 The other is a pure bred Alaskan Malamute, he's 6 months old. Both great dogs, insanely affectionate, fairly well behaved and they're the best of friends. I've also got two snakes, one is a female adult California Kingsnake, the other is a yearling male Boa Constrictor. And finally I've got a lizard, he's about 3 years old and he's a Chinese Water Dragon. I'm planning on getting more animals too. So far, I'm definitely set on getting a pair of Prairie Dogs and a purple phase albino reticulated python. There's so much more I'm also hoping to get, I just need to find where to put them all :)
Edit: Another animal I've been hoping to get is a giant continental rabbit, there's just something about a giant rabbit that I really like.

I've two miniature schnauzer, male who is 5 and female is 4. Brilliant dogs, the female is a bit timid and is currently being terrorised by our 8 month old baby who has started using a walker.

Can't wait till she is older and can play with the dogs, every kid should have a dog.

    kitty 2

They love boxes, whenever I get stuff online I can't bear throwing out the box till they have it worn to bits. Love them so much, there's not many people I love more than these two precious

Ha ha ours are the very same. I cut out windows and doors in the bigger boxes. One of ours has a fondness for hiding in paper or cloth shopping bags.
