I am considering purchasing a house in Crumlin more specifically on the Rathdrum road.
I have been to look at the house a few times, the area seems quiet and fairly settled.
Does anyone have any opinions or experience with this area?
    Much appreciated

I’m from Crumlin and I’ve walked up and down Clogher Road (the main road Rathdrum Rd comes onto) thousands of times and never had any issues. The only thing that might be a problem is that Rathdrum Road connects to Rutland Ave. at the other end. For years Rutland Ave and the Dolphins Barn had area had serious social problems. It’s not as bad as it used to be but the Barn can still be a bit crazy.

Crumlin is a great place to live. Close to town, the canal, Dublin 6 and there’s plenty of amenities. The only thing that might be an issue is what end of the Rathdrum Road you’ll be living; Clogher Road end – no problems, Rutland Ave end – probably no problems.
