How to get rid of fat under my chin?

I'm a very thin person. However one area of my body that I do have excess fat is under my chin. Yes I've got a double chin and it looks terrible. Considering I'm not an over-weight person is there any way to just target this one area of fat to reduce it?

    Chin ups:pac:

No seriously, you can't make fat go from a specific area. It's an overall loss or none at all.

An exercise & diet plan that burns more calories than your consuming will make you lose weight, and some of this weightwill probably come from your chin, but you can't point and make it disappear.

According to me the best way to reduce the fat under your skin is to have a proper diet and always a long distance walk or a run.

    +1 on RidleyRider

Spot specific weight loss not possible. So much for all hip, bum and thigh classes.

Theoretically would building the chin muscles give it a lift?

I think it might, though I have seen the idea mocked before, I have seen facial exercises like isometric holds. The mocking might be more to do with looking like an eejit doing it.

By my theory which may be wrong the difference between a kim k booty and a dawn french booty is a bit of muscle under the fat.
Chew your food longer op or look up chin exercises. It wont hurt.

Exercise and diet- afaik there's no such thing as 'targeted' weight loss.

Are we actually talking about chin exercises?

OP most likely has a high bodyfat percentage and is very skinny, which is why he has a double chin. He needs to lose weight, not work on his chewing.

    Weighted chewing gums.

You sound like you could be skinny fat.

Work on building up some muscle, it will give you energy, strength, better posture and muscle needs energy so will help burn fat. The second chin will disappear with time.

One of the skinniest people I know has a double-chin. I don't think telling that person to eat less or exercise more would do any good.
