Getting from Kilkenny to Cork City via public transport.

    Was thinking of having a weekend away with the missus but Bus Eireann's service between Kilkenny and Cork is woeful. There are no direct routes on Sundays. What the F.... Irish Rail is worse as you have to go to Cork via Dublin :confused:. Any other options? Any private buses serving Cork/Kilkenny?

    Way better off driving. The alternatives are either non existent or double the travel time. Fairly handy spin to drive now down the M8.
