    Hi all,

Just wondering what people think of Manuka honey. Can anyone recommend a good brand?

I mostly use honey for cooking, would the benefits of Manuka honey be lost in the cooking process?

While I buy the Aldi version (and sometimes Boyne valley) I have heard that there is more manuka honey on sale than could ever be produced by the available manuka hives, so you can presume a lot of it is fake.

I buy whatever is the cheapest 15+ I can get. It could be psychosomatic, but I seem to get less sniffles and coughs.

If you can find any local bee keepers and buy direct from them you will be getting honey which is the best possible product for you as it contains local pollen.

I bought my first small pot of this honey today, and would be interested in hearing more of its beneficial effects. Any input would be sincerely appreciated. Thank you in advance.
