I don't understand. What do you mean by ten years? You're eating 900cals per day for the last ten years?

If you're gaining weight you're eating more calories than you're expending. Thermodynamics.

IIFYM means you hit your daily protein ,fat and other macro nutrient goals and then fill your belly with whatever you want until you meet your total caloric goal. Where people fall down is not getting enough micro nutrients, and generally taking the piss and using IIFYM to justify eating junk.

    So simply no then?

No offense, but if you're 167 lbs, you're not taking in 900 - 1200 kcals a day. You're either miscalculating or not being honest with yourself. You want to be taking in at least 0.8 grams of protein/lb bodyweight. Then work out the rest of your daily allowances. 1200 kcals a day is an extreme diet anyway. figure out your TDEE and try to take about 20% off that. Without affecting protein intake.

    Ultimately it's your own decision.
If your calorie budget is very low you wont be able to afford eating whatever you want without missing some of your micro and macro nutrients.

Just allocate 10% of your daily calories to some kind of treat you can look forward to and keep the other 90% of your calories from good clean foods.

Account's closed. Ignore this thread. It's probably a load of BS anyway.
