I got more than a PM from Dav.

He back traced my IP, found out my address and I got an invoice through the letterbox this morning!

Price of 3 drinks, that's a fairly miserable night out.

Still, it's the principle of it.

Yeah, its not for 2 months, plenty of alternative forumses out there.
    With much laxer torch policies.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,055 ✭✭✭Red Nissan

It should be €20 a month, it's well worth that.

Infractions, €100 to get them removed.

Points, €500 to remove the eight points and avoid a ban.

€20,000 to have you account and all posts forensically erased.

Ding ~ I hear my email arriving, I must read it. :pac::pac::pac::pac:

I'm so angry at this. I'm going to start my own forum and call it Baords.ie

Everyone who doesnt want to pay blood money can join for free. It'll be great, I'll allow swearing and insults, threads on social welfare, travellers, Eastern Europeans, Catholics and basically anything goes as long as it's your own opinion and not someone else's. It'll be great....Oooih I can't wait!

Maybe I'm missing the subtleties of AH Humour, but is this for real?? So, along with all the adverts at the top, sides, bottom of each page, we are now expected to fork out €20 a year in order to participate?

If this is true, then Boards.ie should realise exactly who provides their content!! We do. Us users are the ones providing all the content on this site, that advertisers are leveraging to present their wares. AND we are expected to do while adhering to pretty strict (no problem there) and sometimes ambiguous rules?

Hah, best of luck with that.

Personally, I don't care if it €20 or 20c a year. Our content contributions are what keep this place going and alive. If Boards want to expand, then do it organically, be smarter with the advertising. Don't attempt to make your contributor's pockets lighter.
