Brand new G&P SR15URX

As the title says I've a brand spanking new g&p sr15urx with scope mount, scope, front grip and mag. It's only a couple months old and has only had 1 mag put through it in hobbyairsoft to chrono test it. It's a top class piece of kit and was ordered in specially for me. Only reason I'm letting it go is because I have a custom built g&p/magpul sr25 with systema goodness in it that I just got back from Carl "rooky1" so no point in leaving the sr15 sitting in the box. Things I'm looking for as trade are kwa kriss vector, vfc pdw, uramex/vfc hk416, 417 or m27iar, ics l86, some sort of model 870 shotgun or a good high end gun. Any trade must be in good condition. If someone wants to buy it I'll sell it for €380.
    Thanks for looking

Also my reply was to tonycombat, didn't want to threadjack.

I'll get some pics up soon as possible.
I'm south Dublin almost at Bray. Bit of a trek for us to meet. I really like it but would love to obviously see it and get a handle for te length and practicality based on how I skirmish.
I like to get mixed up in the heat a lot but at the same time there are times when that simply doesn't work and although the skull frog has excellent range I feel I might need a different style in order to skirmish in a different style.
And of course I really only like to buy G&P, so there's where I'm at.
Are u ever up in Dublin as I wouldn't like to drive all the way down or have you drive all the way up only to discover it's too long or too heavy or something, these are the things in currently trying to work out.

Do you happen to know the full length of it? I'm also toying with the option of buying it outright if that's still an option for you.
But just to be clear right now I really need to assess it properly as an option for me and can't do so without seeing it.

I hope I'm not coming across as a pain in the .... It's just as you probably know the G&P's are very nice and my skull frog is Absolutly amazing so to let it go would have to be for the right exchange. You'd swear I was talking about a vintage Ferrari or something :D

Oh also would u have a picture of it full length?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,850 ✭✭✭Ebr sniper

I absolutely understand where your coming from as I'd also like to check out your skull frog to see if the compactness suits me. If there's somewhere half way we can meet I'm ok with that. I'll get full lenght pics up this evening. Do you want me to put it beside an m4 so you get a picture of it's lenght? I'll also measure it to let you know the lenght
How is the skull frog working? Any problems with it? Any damage on it? Has it been skirmished much?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 592 ✭✭✭Leeroy!

    Hey,
Bought it last summer and used it up until about October. Im a half day Sunday skirmish'r about twice a month sometimes could be a month before I go again. So it hasnt been used much. When I do use it I take it handy, no trigger riding etc. I like to creep so no spray N pray.
I used to build my own ones and after my last custom job I decided it was time to buy another G&P on the grounds that I knew I wouldnt have to touch it and thats exactly whats happened.
Long story but it came with a factory sealed gearbox and the M120 spring so i had to open it to downgrade with an M90 and shes sitting on 315-320 now consistent.
Extremely accurate and very good range for something shorter. In fact the range is so good that Ive never really been outranged.

So mint condition original box manuals etc, no scratches or marks or problems.

As for meeting up, I think the farthest I'd go really would be Blanchardstown but that poses a problem as we cant exactly take them out in public to test.
So this leaves us with an issue I guess...

It's been well looked after so! It's a lovely piece of kit by the sounds of it. Well if I was assured of a trade or you were buying it I'd travel closer to bray but if it's unsure I just don't want travel all that way to drive back home for nothing.

Im doing a bit of research on it today. If you could send me a full length pic whenever you have a chance that would amazing.
What kind of price would you take for buying it outright?

heres a pic btw, its not recent but its something for now and to be honest it wont look any different now :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,850 ✭✭✭Ebr sniper

If I sell it I won't take anything less than the asking price which is €380 and I'm dropping €50 off it as it is now second hand but still brand new. New pics would be great and some close up detailed ones if you can. I'll get pics up in 5mins

Would you like to move to PM's to arrange a meetup, I might be going to Meath anyway so perhaps I'll be much closer to you and save u travelling. Then we can test them out and see how they go?

Yea sounds like a plan. Can you put up some pics though I just want to see that it still looks to be in as good condition as it was in the pic posted as that's over a year old.

Looks the part alright very well kept! Has it no dust cover to hide the hop up? Is it wired to deans or anything like that?

And i didnt even wipe it down or doll it up to be honest. I just like to look after it. After all it wasnt a cheap investment. plus i dont go out all that often.

Anyway yes I should have mentioned that it is Deans (T shape). I only use 7.4 lipos and prefer the deans connection. Is our deans also?
As for the dust cap, its there it just doesnt close, its a standard feature of the G&P's have no idea why they decided that but it doesnt bother me, I prefer how it looks with it open. Is it not the same on yours?

Just one question. The reason your selling yours? and how did you find it when you were out, did you find it was a tad long to be using in buildings or when up close. Like did you find you always need t be at distance with it?

Also just to clarify, are we talking straight swap here? And to keep you posted im trying to source a reasonably priced short M4 or carbine to have as a CQB option that way everything is covered. My main concern is that it might be too long for me. Which i cant truly establish without holding it. Pity about the massive distance.

Oh rite I don't really use deans connections myself I like to keep it standard as it's easier for myself. No the sr15 is standard connections. I'll have to source a cover for the gearbox and hopup as I rather the look like in the pic of the sr15. I'm only letting the sr15 go because I bought it while Carl "rooky1" was putting together my custom sr25 that I now have and it's awesome so the sr15 will never be used. The sr15 has never been used only fired in hobbyairsoft that's it. So I can't comment on it's use in skirmish but by holding it around the house I think it's fine, with the stock and front grip it's grand. Yea think a straight swap is on the cards if you can throw in a battery with deans connection and a second mag or so if you have one. How good of a cqb m4 are you looking for?

Well I have the standard non magpul midcap that came with it but ive only 1 battery and thats my prized 7.4 lipo so i couldnt throw that in. Also ive no other batterys.
A mate of mine just told me that he can hook me up with a guy who has an sr 15 this weekend so I can try one out and do all the assessments I want. So are you happy to sit tight until I get a chnace to get one in my hands. From that i can make a decision to go ahead or hold onto it.
You would think this should be an easy thing to do, I mean theyre all just 1 joule but i have to be honest. Ive had a fair few over the last few years and nothing has come close to this one. its making this very difficult for me.

    Hey,
SO I managed to get my hands on it and its definitely a beautiful thing but unfortunately really too big for me. I'm only about 5,7 and even holding it on my sling its way too long. surprisingly though it doesn't feel any heavier than the skull frog. Range was beautiful, scope was fine and it was a hell of alot quieter than mine which would have been nice for a change. Literally just as i was worried, too long. :(
Thanks for your patience I really hope it goes to a good home. Best of luck with the sale. Looks like you will be having fun with the systema, would love to check it out sometime, if your ever around hilltop or special ops gimme a shout perhaps we could meet up.
