Looking for some help here please.
I am looking to buy some goods for farming from china. The minimum order for them is 200 pieces which come to roughly 3000 euro. Will customs add an extra charge on to this once the goods get to Ireland does anyone know?

You can be sure and certain they will & not only on the goods but on the carriage as well . It will double what you paid per unit for the product ( I am speaking from experience)

They will charge the duty at the % they have on file for this particular item (you can get details of the rates for various items from revenue) on the total invoice value (including shipping) and then they will add VAT 23% to it also but you can claim this if registered.

Your handling agent DHL An Post etc will also charge a small fee for handling the collection of the fee on revenues behalf. An Post charge €6 for small packages but if your item is bulky it will be coming via DHL or some other courier company.
