Does anyone know what, if any, advantages/disadvantages there are to eating this type of chocolate. I got a few bars here in China and while it tastes nice I'm not sure of its makeup. Hard to translate all the ingredients. Plus I'm not sure if the meaning is that it contains coconut butter or what. Slightly misleading but I'm guessing it's an alternative to milk chocolate so it does contain coconut butter. I have a few squares of it now and again when I get a craving for chocolate and the dark stuff is better.

I made coconut oil based chocolate at home once or twice and it is pretty tasty. I do not think it makes it better or worse, it is highly processed food anyway.

How did you do this? I have made my own too, I just melted high % cocoa chocolate in with coconut oil, its got a lovely melt in the mouth effect. I also made some with just pure cocoa, it was a bit harsher as its so bitter, but still nice.

    That sounds nice actually.
I've made nutella from pure hazelnut butter + mixing in cocoa powder, it's gorgeous
Think I did add some coconut sugar too

A drop of milk, plenty of powdered milk, plenty of sweetener, a bit of coconut oil, pinch of cacao powder. Basically same recipe as simple chocolate just replace cocoa butter with coconut oil.
