Hi, have many of you done this. I posted a thread last month about thinking about doing it and Im glad to say, I am going to give it my best shot.....
However, I would like to know what's the best to wear, its the june one, I don't want to leave it til too near the time to get stuff, incase of it rubbing my skin etc etc, at least if I get it and wear it now it will be well worn in by the time comes!;)
What happens after you finish it also, this is something I have been wondering, like are there showers, or place to change at least?? I seen from a video the likes of a shed with shower heads in the roof! Is that it, surely you can get dried and changed somewhere:confused:

    Have the following:
Old runners they you don't mind throwing away
    Tube socks
    Compression tights
    Shorts
    Long sleeved base layer
    Maybe fingerless cycling gloves

Bring duct tape to tape your shoes to your legs, don't want them coming off

There is a place to change & there are showers.

I did the one in January & it was freezing but manageable.

June will be a cake walk.

    Enjoy

Dont wear too much. Its easier to move and keep warm than to cool off if you are overdressed. Gloves to protect your hands is important, and wear clothing that is tight fitting - nothing worse than loose wet layers flapping.

In my experience duct tape doesnt stay on, just tie your laces well.

Super thanks a million for that. I was wondering about taping shoes on alright? I have started my running in old runners purposely so I can throw them away! Have a bit to go in those yet! Thanks a mill for the info, Im completely lost when it comes to proper clothing for it....

I did the runamuck recently and I found that the little stones and muddy water getting into my shoes and socks caused awful chaffing!! I'd tape your feet up really well - heels particularly and any other areas that might be affected by friction.

I'd definitely wear gloves too - skin tight ones that won't swell too much when they get wet.

Don't throw away your runners after - you'll need them the next time you do it! I have a set of clothes I just wear for adventure races!

You'd never know I might just end up doing that, keeping one set just for things like hell & back:D
Great tips there, thanks a million
