Has anyone had their tonsills out as an adult due to tonsill stones? I've had them now for around 18months and they are constantly driving me insane having to try get them out and they obviously stink. I'm going to go to my GP shortly and hopefully get a referral to an ENT. Any ideas how long this takes to get an appointment publicly? I'd be willing to go private as I really want these tonsills gone.

Got mine out when I was 21, suffered with them from age of 16 that was 20 years ago. Was constantly on antibiotics. Just be prepared, it hurts like hell afterwards and you will want to cough constantly as your throat and nose will be full of blood.but with any Op you will survive.

    Goodluck with it.
