Stokell has 14 declared tomorrow. Which 10 are going to be non runners and which 4 in the Yankee?

Brown Pete probably the best handicapped of the lot

Rogueing shysters. All the Stokell horses out tomorrow belong to Stephen Arnold, who only this week has seen his racing ban expire. See he's stirring the pot on his Twitter page promising his thoughts on his runners tomorrow. I am sure there is some sort of angle at work here and suspect the 12 declarations is just an attempt to throw some disorder into the mix.

The 3:30 might be the one to watch. 8 runners, two of them with Stokell/Arnold, another horse formerly owned by Arnold (Dorback). If anything, Dorback looks the plot horse, down from a mark of 85 to under 65 in less than a year.

Even if it isn't tomorrow this will surely win a race off 65. Nice but of information thanks for the write up Francie.

Bay Knight (timeform pick) withdrawn in the 16.40, that still leaves two - Decent Fella and Fairy Wing.

"The horses I have backed in multiples are Daniel Thomas, profile star, decent fella, we have a dream, brown Pete good luck" from Stephen Arnold. Had a speculative bet.

    3-1 fav now.

Decent Fella in has plunged from 11.00 to 8.00 to 6.00 to 4.00 in the last few mins,

Quite weak on the exchange. Mia's Boy is one to keep onside with his mark falling tonight at Kempton. Backed it at 9s will go in soon I think.

Bookmakers closing books all over the place. Must be some mad accums going on some of these horses.

Sorry to get off the plot :D but The lady maggi 12-1 last race at haydock related to the late brindisi breeze on the mare side and quevega on the other i can almost taste that lobster later.

The 16.05 is still open for betting interestingly, maybe that's where the last min plunge will take place.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 18,335 ✭✭✭✭UrbanSea

Just shows how bad some bookies are. Arnold has neither the skill nor the know how to pull off a Barney style coup, and posting it on Twitter proves that. Losing punters probably putting on one pound lucky 15s and the trading departments are downing the hatches

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 2,475 ✭✭✭carpothepunk

In fairness to him Urban he has posted up plenty of his winners on twitter. He's generally quite frank.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 18,335 ✭✭✭✭UrbanSea

Maybe but stopping all twelve is extreme. I hope some of them win but the likelihood of having even 3 win is very small

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 18,335 ✭✭✭✭UrbanSea

For what it's worth I did back Brown Pete who I thought out of them all could be the best handicapped

I thought profile star was the most interesting. Missed the 6/7-1 last night so left it off now.

Will be interesting to see if any of these 14 win, doubt it myself.

Think a few will, those 5 I posted will go close, I am sure. Bookies acting as if theyve 2 stone in hand is gas though.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,564 ✭✭✭kiers47

Is it all gone to **** if the first gets beat?
Tbh I think the Lucy Wadham horse is fairly interesting in the first. Running off a ridiculously low mark. Ran in a Craven once upon a time!!

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 2,475 ✭✭✭carpothepunk

Chapellerie and Dorback very interesting also.

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 2,475 ✭✭✭carpothepunk

That 6.40 at Kempton is some betting heat.

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 2,475 ✭✭✭carpothepunk

Daniel Thomas very strong on the blue, also.

I kinda wish I had more on but that gamble put me off!!

'Sure' as in certain or positive? Implying a certainty in racing are we?
As certain as the big Tilla?

    How sure are you?

Did you actually laugh when the bookies told you the horses had two stone in hand?

This plot today in my opinion is too obvious for any serious damage to be done.

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 2,475 ✭✭✭carpothepunk

Haha, you're some buck. I never said anything would win/cert etc, but sure was perhaps the wrong wording.

As for the Golantilla thing, I really fancied it, strongly. The stuff saying it would win with Barry on the back was obviously tongue firmly in cheek. Am I the first person to fancy something and have it lose? What a strange case of sour grapes you seem to have.

And I am not sure what you are getting at with the "did you laugh when the bookies told you" comment?

    I think so, yeah....
Ah its just that your contradictory waffle across the board is gas.

    Sorry for veering OT ladies..

    Where is my contradictory waffle?

I used the word sure, where I should have used think, once, so that automatically makes every post I make contradictory drivel?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,172 ✭✭✭NaiveMelodies

You've been fair quick to jump down throats of others when similar is suggested AFAIR.

Just improve your English in the future and I'll forgive you.

Did anybody see the interview on ATR with the owner saying why his 4 horses would win today. A friend text me about it so i don't know what was said. The only site i seen that have not suspended betting is betfred so i just done a tenner accum although unlikely to come up. Horses backed off the board. The below prices are from Betfred maybe they are bigger prices elsewhere but it's the only site i found that has not suspended betting on the races.

    3.30 Profile Star 13/2 into 7/4
    4.40 Decent Fella 12/1 into 5/2
    6.40 We have a dream 9/1 into 3/1
    9.10 Brown Pete 6/1 into 4/6

As far as I know he said his best bet of the day was Daniel Thomas who was beaten out of sight in the first.

Think he actually said Dylan Thomas was the weakest link. Not on it myself, something amiss when he's so public about it.

Oh right. Didn't see it myself but thought I read it on twitter.

Apparently there was a horrendous fall in the last in lingfield up the straight?? Anyone see it?

Yeah it was Martin Harley and it was horrific.

Yep, Harley on Red Art (RIP I think). Was really horrible.

The racing industry was once again on gamble alert after the authorities were made aware of possible coups at two meetings today.

Is Lingfield delayed because of the fall? Was looking for the 15.30 result on-line but can't find it (very limited to what sites can be checked in work!)

Clerk of course says they hope to resume around 4.25. Never has the phrase "when a plan comes together" blown up so spectacularly in the perps' faces
