Is he 172.5 or 171.5 ? They can still be a pound over for championship bouts right ?

    171.5
Gotta be on the button for championship bouts

Fcuk. There's no way he won't make it, be embarrassing for a title fight if he didn't make the weight

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 329 ✭✭Nappy

He walks around at 220. Rough cut.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 51,054 ✭✭✭✭Professey Chin

    Dave Sholler ‏@Sholler_UFC 2m
Dana tells TV partners backstage that if Johny misses weight, Lawler can still win title. Johny, if off, would not be eligible for belt.

    Thatd be pretty weird.

Ufc weigh-in results along with Hendricks 3 fighters overall did not make weight!!

Ufc.com was the source for this one...
*Hendricks and Gastelum did not make weight and will have to weigh in again

** Forte did not make weight and will not make a second attempt. He forfeits 20% of his purse to his opponent, Francisco Trevino, and the fight will proceed as scheduled.

I would've been fine with Hendricks missing weight.

I want Lawler to be Champ and couldn't give a damn about Hendricks.

It would be spectacularly cruel though to "win" 2 title fights and never actually become Champion

Me too what a great story it would be hope he wins. Realistically he hasn't the staying power if he does manage to win but I do think its a decent match up here for him and would love to see him grab the belt.

If anyone was interested Kelvin made weight also on the retry by the ways.

    what an absolute phucking amateur!!!

He looks like some random smack head at that weigh in.

If he doesnt put Lawlor away in the first, then there's no way he can win that fight. He's absolutely shattered, sure he's barely coherent.

    He made that claim himself.

Probably 220 on his fattest day ever

Johny Hendricks walks around well over 200 pounds.

But, once he gets closer to a fight, Hendricks begins shedding the pounds.

He’s currently in the process of doing just that, as “Bigg Rigg” takes on UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre next Saturday at UFC 167.

“I follow The Dolce Diet for every training camp,” wrote Hendricks, who conducted a Q&A session on Twitter Thursday night. “Mostly lean protein and whole foods. I lose 45 + lbs in 8 weeks.”

Hendricks will need to be right at 170 pounds or lower when he steps on the scale in Las Vegas for the title fight.

If shields wins tonite I'll be a fan for life
didnt give him a hope against woodley and thought
    maia would beat him
I'd love to see him beat lombard who just isn't a nice fella :D

I'll be a very happy man if lawlor is wearing
    that strap later though

surprised story gastelum didnt make the main card ahead
    of st preux krylov
hard one to call imo and gastelum is favourite which suprises
me when you compared who they fought in their careers

will always shout for condit against anyone so ideally robbie and
carlos winning and carlos taking the belt of robbie would be just perfect

Yeah I was thinking the same. I cant remember what channel TUF was airing on(in states) when Gaselum won but maybe they're putting on free to air tv to get more publicity. I've bet story in this fight along same thinking as yourself(previous fights) after reading Gastelum had problems making weight I'm glad(at this stage of the night :p) that I did

Yep. Lutter came in at 174 I think and couldnt lose the weight.

Lutter missed weight before the commissions allowed five round non-title fights. So, the fight was brought down to three rounds because Lutter failed to make weight.

this is a good fight, thought Story had him finished there in the 2nd

added - Did the 3rd judge give that 30-27 to Gastelum??? I couldnt quite hear it, hard to believe if true

 he must have been in a queue for a piss or something and missed the round :D IMO if a fighter is that close to finishing his opponent then he must win the round regardless of what else had happened, Gastelum didn't do an awful lot to win it.

Find it hard to understand how 1 judge can award 30-27 and another judges the other fighter won

[DANAMODE] DONT LEAVE IT IN THE HANDS OF THE JUDGES [/DANAMODE]

Boring fight after Rd 1 though. Should have tried some GNP with the amount and ease he took Shields down

He was injured before that. Joe was talking about how Condit was wincing severely from pain as he got taken down.

oh so he had been hurt before that kick?? in bed so have the sound down so she doesnt waken:D.....just when the knee twist it looked like something in his lower quad popped

Nah. Joe Rogan, astute as always, pointed out that he was wincing from something when he got taken down, and that we'd likely see what it was when Condit stood up. Sure enough, Condit was down 10 sec later.
