In my car doing 100km/h I do be at 3,000 rpm in 5th gear.

I'm still getting used to the 6th gear in my one as I only have the car 3 weeks . But I find cruising at 100km/h in 6th gear that it sits at around 1500-1700rpm . I'm getting 45 plus MPG out of it constant on long journeys and even up to 52MPG on one journey so I'm happy there ;)

    I think it's a MK1 Focus.

A lot of older cars didn't come with tachometers, especially Japanese ones.

Weird place for ignition. I wouldn't be able to own that car with the ignition there as my dog would probably break the key while going from front seat to back seat. Over time it would deffo break. I had a mp3 player hooked up to radio left where your igintion is before and my dog broke the headphone jack by walking on it.

Full tank of petrol nice. I never go full tank always half tank which is €30

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,925 ✭✭✭GvidoR

I don't usually have that much petrol in my car but 50 euro fills it to the brim. :P

    I'd go mad

the reason it there is because during the crash tests saab noticed that sometimes the occupants knees would hit the ignition barrel on the side of the steering column and ruin their leg, so they stuck it there :D

I knew that was a honda civic before I clicked the link. Just the mention of the gear stick gave it away.

My hubby's first car was the Cinquecento sporting. I drove it to on the motorway one day and the thing started shaking violently once I got over 60mph. I thought it might start breaking up. :D
