more excited about seeing Ferris than the Ireland match right now

When he scores five tries and makes 50 bone crunching tackles in his 20 minute cameo I imagine he'll be a late call up for tomorrow.

Ah come on now. That wouldn't really be fair on the French now, would it... ;)

I think this is probably a better, actually it is, Lanelli team than the one that beat Ulster in Lanelli in Nov.

The Ulster team is better at half backs but not so much up front, Diack is in the second row.

This is by no means a foregone conclusion. Scarlets are playing well at the moment.

I guess I won't be alone in hiding behind the cushion every time Ferris goes into contact tonight!

Still I'm really buzzed (is that a word?) about this!

The start of a brilliant weekend!

    Ulster v Scarlets
Final six nations day including a possible title for Ireland and BOD's last game
Big day of football for fans of the round ball game on Sunday
Day of work and the Schools Cup final on Monday

    The stuff of Carlsberg...

    This.

Also my better half is going away tomorrow so I have the house to myself on Sunday and Monday.

Just went to the off license and bought 20 beers. :D

    Close!

Ulster almost get an early try through Bowe after some nice work from Jackson and Payne.

    Wow McCloskey, one man choke!

    TRY ULSTER!

Jackson gets a try, unlucky bounce for the Scarlets.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 967 ✭✭✭Anatidaephobia

That was a filthy bounce, but it was still good play from Paddy. Very nicely judged kick.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,658 ✭✭✭Kanrith

    Wow, brilliant try.

    TOMMY BOWE!

    TRY ULSTER!

Paddy Jackson puts on a show of absolute class and sets up Bowe for the try.

    What a try!!!

Brilliant set piece move. Fantastic pass from Pienaar, nice break from Paddy and good support from Bows.

Someone is out to prove a point!

Exactly what Schmidt would want by the way!

  • Administrators Posts: 54,424 Admin ✭✭✭✭✭awec

Payne runs at a player, who tries to tackle him and ends up bouncing off him. :D

Black looks in all sorts of trouble.

Eh I actually don't think so. Schmidt puts a lot more emphasis on consistency over multiple games and following the game plan rather than individual moments of brilliance.

Still, this is looking like a serious performance from Jackson.

    Black looks crocked. :(

Black looks in all sorts of trouble.

Looks bad could be out for the season. Gutted for him.

This is a good game so far; lots of rubbing rugby. Scarlets should have scored there.

Yeah nothing beats a good game of rubbing rugby.

    TRY ULSTER!

Jackson with another try. Lovely, lovely work between Bowe and Jackson.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,309 ✭✭✭former legend

Wow. What a line from Bowe.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 530 ✭✭✭chippers

What a lovely line Tommy Bowe!

Great try. Bowe and Jackson on fire. Beautiful pass back inside for Jackson. Class.

Nice break by Bowe, good finish by Jackson.

  • Administrators Posts: 54,424 Admin ✭✭✭✭✭awec

    Bowe just oozes class.

  • Administrators Posts: 54,424 Admin ✭✭✭✭✭awec

    TRY SCARLETS

Gareth Davies. That was a lovely try, chip over the top and beat Pienaar for pace.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 967 ✭✭✭Anatidaephobia

    Blame the phone!

Bowe is simply class. Although that was a good opportunistic try from Davies too.

    Bowe Jackson knows rugby.
    If anyone remembers the ad.

Nick looks like he wants to make a statement tonight.
Tried a couple of unsuccessful offloads but seems to have knuckled down in the second quarter. Great to see him with the all in one paw and swatting players aside.
And how good has mccloskey been?
Black the only bit of bad news from that first half

    Tom Court is leaving?

edit: "On the 27th of January 2014, it was announced that Tom Court has been signed by London Irish on a 3 year contract with the club, joining from the start of the 2014/15 Season."

    Whats that all about?

Tom will be 34 in November and Callum black is the fans favourite this season.
Big loss TC AND Afoa, but we hope for a tasty replacement or 2
