I was all set to do Aguero this week. Bah! It's normally always Suarez but can't see it ending well this week. United very good at the back last few games. Last week was a toss up between Lallana and Hazard, so is this week. I got it wrong last time, hazard is in great form, Hazard it is

    Jay Rodriguez (Norwich Home)
    If in doubt, Suarez.

    Jay Rodriguez (Norwich Home)
Baines(not in the poll) or Lukaku for me just because Cardiff are awful.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,747 ✭✭✭Ziegler1988

    Daniel Sturridge (Man Utd Away)
Not confident on Suarez but 2nd in my league will captain him so I'll do the same. If I was looking for a differential I would do JRod or Baines.

Hazard or Yaya. Can see City going on a rampage after being knocked out the other night, Yaya could be good for a goal and a few assists.

lallana is tempting but will probably just go with suarez now aguero looks to be out.

    i had Aguero(c), Lallana(vc)

    now

    I have Lallana(c), Hazard(vc)

might switch to Hazard yet though :)

I know it's early days in this poll, but there is so far a lack of confidence in Rooney & RvP, considering they are at home. Or is it that there is a lower ownership rate? Thinking Suarez for now may change that by Sat morning to Hazard or Lukaku...

Suarez actually still is the best option isn't he?

    Jay Rodriguez (Norwich Home)
Currently on Lukaku even though I did promise myself earlier this season that I'd never again captain him. Ever.

Have it on Hazard as would expect Chelsea to rip Villa apart.

Would love a punt on JRod or Lallana because prefer having a home captain but top of my leagues and don't need to make up ground so wont risk it

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,747 ✭✭✭Ziegler1988

    Daniel Sturridge (Man Utd Away)
Surprised so many are going for Hazard since Chelsea have Galatasaray on Tuesday. I would think Mourinho would go conservative if they get a two goal lead.

It's probably a lack of other options as much as anything else. Never know how the Liverpool - UNited game will go, so that a question mark over Suarez, Sturridge and RVP. And Aguero is out too.

I've just dropped RVP for lukaku and made him captain

Planning on taking a wreckless gamble on Bony 9west Brom are pure rubbish)....will I have the nerve to hold out on this hunch???

I was dead set on Hazard yesterday but the more I'm thinking about it the more I want to go with Ade. A lot of people will have got rid of him already so if he has a great game it'll pay off nicely.

And if he has a terrible game it'll completely backfire!

I'd fancy Hazard to do a lot more damage at Villa than Ade against Arsenal.

Am getting Baines and Lukaku in and tempted to give it to Baines even though it's a usually rule of mine to never captain a defender.

In the last few minutes I have had it on Lallanna, Hazard and now Suarez. I have no doubt that it will change a number of times again before 11.30 tomorrow.

I think Suarez could run Manyoo ragged on Sunday, but that could be heart over head.

Now that I have Lukaku in the squad, and that Cardiff can be dire, a whole new aspect has been added to Captaincy choice this weekend.

Cardiff have belief after last week's win, wouldn't be to sure everton will run riot, actually think Man United and RVP could do the business this weekend.

Brought Lukaku in again, not sure if i've enough faith to keep the captaincy on him.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,268 ✭✭✭IsMiseMyself

Not a clue who to pick.

Whenever people flock to Lu, he under-performs. Hazard is consistent but there's always the chance with Chelsea that one of the less consistent mids will get a hat-trick and Hazard will get two points. As for the Utd vs Liverpool game, who knows how that'll end.

This is sneaking round in my head too. Otherwise I think hazard.

If I keep RVP this week before going to Rooney I might do RVP, or maybe Rooney if I make the transfer. Lukaku is interesting too but I'm not sure if I'd really consider it.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,675 ✭✭✭HighClass

Just seen that Ade is yellow flagged. Will probably switch the armband to Hazard now just incase he doesn't play the full game.

So how is everyone feeling this morning? Niggling doubts creeping in?!

The poll is very tight between Lukaku, Hazard and Suarez. The captaincy choice this week could make or break the gameweek.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,962 ✭✭✭Hogey007

    going with my gut, lallana.

always wary of taking it off suarez after that spurs captaincy blunder but like most it's impossible to call the united - pool game, could be a goal fest or could be a similar boring game to earlier in the season when chances were limited. (i know suarez didn't play then)

other candidates were toure, hazard and lukaku but my gut was lallana so rather than sit here pondering over it until 11:30, i'm leaving it on lallana and logging out.

Took it off lallana and put it on hazard. Hazard is the form player and lallana hasn't scored for a few games

Yeah my gut tells me Hazard. So just gonna stuck with that too. As a Villa fan, I'm very aware of the fact that we are woefully inconsistent - up and down every week. And we were good in our last game (4-1 win). So this week might be a good week to captain someone playing against us!

edit: meant to say, Lallana could be great shout, it was Norwich that Villa stuffed 4-1, and they were terrible in that game.

Id be surprised if Lallana proved to be the right choice tbh.

First time this season looked at the odds at the bookies website, and looks like Lukaku is most likely to score this week. Lukaku it is.
Brought him in now, so that makes sense.

I remember that was the case when I last captained him. He was lucky to get an assist that day. I remember cursing my luck that I didnt captain Suarez (Tottenham!)

    I'm sidestepping Lukaku aswell.

Very tight at the top of my league against two Pool supporters who will predictably pick a Pool player. Dont think either have Lukaku either so I'll be content if he does the business today.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,268 ✭✭✭IsMiseMyself

I put captaincy on Hazard last night, and I'm gonna keep it there. The last four weeks I've been completely and utterly wrong in every decision I've made--including my captaincy choices. My gut says Suarez, so I'm ignoring my gut--due to its wrongness--and going with Hazard instead.

Was going Hazard but with the doubts over Ade this morning did Ade>Kaku and going to captain him too. Hopefully today isn't the day Cardiff remember how to play football!!

lukaku will come good no doubt but hes never done
anything for me when I had him
he's a risk to say the least

if everton win well I think baines will have a hand in it so
    im going with him

Ah jesus I wanted to do Lukaku but don't think I did. Pretty sure I left it on Suarez but can't get into the game to check.

I'm quickly losing interest this season now.

I lost interest once I dropped like a stone from 9k over the last month. :o

Suarez has every chance of doing good against Utd.
