    Hi guys,

I store all media on a NAS drive. The downside is that, I must navigate and select the itunes library itl file every time I run itunes.
Is there a way to automate the path selection?

    Thanks

I have my music on a NAS but have the library in my user folder.
The downside of this is that you must mount the nas share before starting iTunes. The other downside is that changes to the file structure (eg renaming a file) means all user's libraries must be updated.

I might switch to your solution :-)

I had mine on a drive connected to an Airport Extreme. Slow to copy to/from and a pain in the arse in general. I recently connected it directly to the Mac.

Assuming you don't have an issue with the NAS being found, have you tried creating an alias of the .itl file? Drop it into the dock and use that to launch iTunes?

    No I have not...

I'll give that a shot this evening, thanks!
