This is a bit personal so I'd really appreciate constructive advice please. I'm a woman and I had major surgery a few years ago that left my left upper arm a lot thinner and weaker than the right and the breast is smaller on the left too. I really need to get rid of the flabbiness of the right upper arm and strengthen the left arm. I'm looking for some excercises that I can do at home as I'd find it too embarrasing to go to a gym. Thanks in advance.

You can try this for bodyweight training at home: http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?p=70755853

As an example, it starts with wall push-ups and vertical pulls, so should be easy enough.

If you really want to use weights, dumbbells might work better with uneven arm strength - in that case work the weaker side first, and then same weight and same number of reps on stronger side.
