Ok, im back and im breaking protocol.
I know its not our next game but with it being against them, i think we can bang on about it for a few days beforehand.
Im at my lowest ebb with Spurs as i have been for a looooong time..
But with THEM without Wilshere,Ramsey,Walcott and Ozil, surely we can beat THEM !!!
Just hope we dont pick up any injuries against Benfica.
No team or score predictions until friday.;)

Oh no.... This is first time in a long time I feel almost certain of a drubbing at home.. I don't remember ever feeling like Arsenal would hammer us at home prior to kick off....

On a positive note as I posted in another thread Arsenal have won 3 out of last 20 league games with mike dean in charge. Nice.

Spurs 0 City 1. Spurs doing OK. Danny Rose red card (later rescinded), penalty, 0-2, game over.
Chelsea 1 Spurs 0. Spurs doing OK. Younes Kaboul red card (later rescinded), penalty, 2-0, game over.

Surely it won't happen again this weekend?

I can't be confident about this. We've been hammered by all the top teams this season, and we're not exactly on a high at the moment. With us playing on Thursday again, i can only see us being beaten unfortunately.

Hope the players rise to the occiasion and give the fans something to remember the season by. This would be a very very sweet win during a very bleak season.

Wenger has said that he expects Ramsey and Kallstrom to be fit for this game.

Great day of football with Utd v Pool beforehand and no work the next day! Hopefully we have two CB’s available for this, any word on Dembele being fit? Sandro v Flamini should be a good battle. I believe Townsend & Lennon have one or two assist’s between them all season yowzer? Not expecting that stat to change. Chadli has four I think?

Creativity, hmm well we just don’t have any. Could do with Eirksen being fit, or Paulinho scoring from midfield. Two up top, hope we turn up and give them a game. Should be a high scoring and entertaining game. We’ve been under par all season, no flair, speed, goals, creativity, shipping goals for fun…Spurs win and dvd to commemorate it!

I think we will see a massive bounce back from the team and win this one 3-1

Still dont think we will get 4th but i reckon we will beat the gunners.

    Ade with 2 and paulinho

Games on a 2am Monday morning for me. Don't think I'll be bothering getting up. Will probably just record it.

Will you watch the whole game without knowing the score? No way could I do that. If I couldn;t watch it live I'd prefer just to know the score.

I've got an app on my phone which will annoy the **** out of me during the game. Would have to delete it before going to bed as it will show up on my fed when I hit the home button.

I'll probably just keep an eye on the app while snoozing and then get out of bed if there's much reason to.

Sick of waking up at these times to be watching ****e matches.

We're going to get hammered. Arsenal are as good if not better than Benfica and we'll be wrecked as per usual after playing on Thursday night.

So you're saying 3-0 Arsenal then? Most probable!

My small amount of ramaining optimism is just oozing away. I think we will be lucky to get a draw. I usually let my heart take over when its Spurs but the truth is we could get well beaten. If we fail to win, then thats it. season over. Maybe its over either way?

    1 - 2

You must have misinterpreted my post.

Arsenal have hammered Spurs at white hart lane. But I can't remember the last time I was convinced Spurs would be hammered before a ball was kicked at home to Arsenal.

It's always felt like an anything can happen sort of game. This time, for the first time I can only really see one thing happening.

Oh and also last time Arsenal beat Spurs in the league at WHL was September of the 07/08 season. So 2012 is a bit wide of the mark...

Infact the last time Arsenal won at WHL by 3 or more goals in the league was 83/84.

One more thing. Since 83/84 there's been one game Arsenal have won by more than 2 goals. (League cup 10/11 4-1) and two games they've won at WHL by 2 goals (3-1 07/08 & 97/98 seasons)

Really we're very good at home to Arsenal.

This time is very different. So yes perfect reason to have been expecting a result at home v Arsenal prior to this weekend.

It was over the moment Levy appointed Sherwood as head coach

It's a NLD so form counts for fock all. Chameberlain will destroy Naughton, so he can take the day off and get some more tattoo's. Drop Paulinho, I really can't remember when he had a good game recently. Lennon also for the drop. Replace him with Townsend. And start Soldado.

It's been excruciating watching us this season, no light at the end of the tunnel whatsoever. And really last season wasn't any better, we just had Bale ripping teams apart.

It would be a funny end to the season for a shítty Spurs side to beat a good Arsenal one.

That's the guy spouting all this stuff. I'm not sure what to believe. I'll copy some tweets. Has to be some dickhead winding up the club.

@MH_Roberts71: @johncrossmirror march from Seven Sisters to WHL Sunday. THFC fans who are now AFC fans until Levy & Sherwood out. Please RT #JoinTheMarch

@MH_Roberts71: @FrankLad @tottenhamtalk1 No. 100's confirmed for the march now. 1pm from Seven Sisters tube. We will be wearing Afc scarfs in protest

He's sent it to Gary Lineker, Jermain Defoe, Piers Morgan, gazza, graham Roberts, Micky hazard, official twitter account of the club, Alan Sugar and lots more..

This seriously has to be a crock of ****.

His profile says 'ex spurs fan. I just can't take this anymore. Hate this club so much I'm a gooner until Sherwood goes' FOYS

If this is a windup he's gone to some effort to be honest..

As an Arsenal fan if that's really a Spurs fan saying that he should be taken out and shot. If it's an Arsenal fan he's a fookin idiot. Him and his 100 strong in Arsenal scarves at Seven Sisters tube would need their Pumas on tomorrow I imagine.

We have seen some pretty talented spurs teams in the last few seasons put in very heartless performances against Arsenal, the current crop are so poor that I have no faith at all.

The only glimmer is that it is a NLD and everything goes out the window.

Surely the only motivation needed is the highlights (low lights) of the last spurs v arsenal game and that twit Walcott holding up his two fingers on the stretcher. If that's not enough reason to play out of your skin, then pack your bags and find a new club this summer.

Late fitness checks for Adebayor and Kyle Walker with Dembele not expected to be fit.

    Sigurdsson I think is available.

Don't concede and there's a chance of a nil all. Once Arsenal score one though it'll be game over.

Ah no, shur we'l be three up before one of out players plays a back pass from the half way line over Hugo's head and into the net.

Just seen Villa-a team with only half our talent go toe to toe with Chelsea and beat them.Ive seen lots of Spurs teams poorer than the our current crop but I have not seen one with such poor fight in them.If they can't get themselves up for tomorrow then they should p1ss off.

Walker,Naughton and Paulinho are 3 players who shouldn't play tomorrow.3 bottlers in my opinion.

    My team
    Loris
    Sandro Kaboul Verts Fryers
    Dembele
    Sigurdsson Erikson Townsend
    Ade. Soldado

Gamble at the back I know but I can't look at Walker and Naughton any longer.

Can't see us doing much to be honest. If we conced in the first ten mins we'll get destroyed if we last till 70 mins or so without letting one in we might have a chance of grabbing a point but it'll be a minor miracle I think!

    bentaleb again- dear god man

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,927 ✭✭✭Sugarlumps

I think Bentaleb will do fine, Dembele mustn't be fully fit. Paulinho nor Lennon deserved to start. Hopefully this means Eriksen will be playing in behind Ade. Rose and Naughton need to put in a shift, no silly free kicks.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,927 ✭✭✭Sugarlumps

    Lloris; Naughton, Kaboul, Vertonghen, Rose; Sandro; Townsend, Bentaleb, Eriksen, Chadli;
Adebayor. subs : Friedel, Walker, Lennon, Paulinho, Sigurdsson, Kane, Soldado.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,267 ✭✭✭hugo29

His love child is on again, bentalab , not only that naughton is still here, and rose bud on the other side, soldado still on the bench, dear god we will be destroyed,
Wtf is going on, oh dear jayus, sack him now, get van gal on a pre contract, because I'd say moyes is on borrowed time an utd will go for him
