Naval Service Reserve

    Hope this is allowed here...

    As you may or may not know, the Defense Forces have announced they are taking on 400 full-time and 500 part-time members. Some of these places will go to the Naval Service Reserve (of which I am a member).

    There's a few threads in the military forum where the organisation is discussed and there's a good bit of info here http://www.military.ie/reserve/

    Applications close soon enough so if it's of interest, get one in!

    I'd love it……I have a godson/nephew who is on the LE Orla (or at least he was before asbestos became an issue….!!).

    Another nephew only did his passing out about 3 months back…….I didn't realize how much I enjoy the water until I started going out in it about 3 years ago…….now I love being on it, in it, under it………:)
