    €489 on 6 month contract @ €35 pm

Am I missing something? You still have to pay almost 500 upfront for the phone on that plan?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,207 ✭✭✭miralize

Its on the €70 per month deal. €420 in total.

Unlocked from Amazon for 327GBP Which equates to €390.

Not a great deal although you do get o2 services.

    When I look it says

    Samsung Galaxy S4
    O2 Open 700 Extra 6Mth
    350 min & 350 texts
    700MB Internet
    Unlimited O2 Calls
    Cost today
    €489.00
    Monthly charge
    €35.00

So €489.00 upfront and then €35 a month.

Perhaps I'm not choosing the right option?

Edit: €70 a month with zero upfront. So €420.

I don't think the OP is applying the 6 month rate correctly. When you click 6 month, it still shows 24 month pricing.

It's zero on the 6 month €55 deal

    There are two 6 month options where the phone price is not extra. So the total cost would be;
    65 x 6 = 390
    70 x 6 = 420

    O2 Open Plus Extra 6Mth
    €65.00
    Unlimited calls & texts
60 mins & texts EU Roaming*
    60 International texts
    6GB Internet

    O2 Open Extra Online 6Mth
    €70.00
    Unlimited calls & texts
120 mins & texts EU Roaming*
    120 International texts
    10GB Internet

Not a bad deal on O2 Open Plus Extra 6Mth €65.00

I'm paying €25 a month on meteor, so I'll be paying an extra €40 a month for 6 months to get the phone, then I'm free to move...

Don't bother. OP is either misinformed or is not "selecting the plan" to refresh calculation based on 6mth option. See post #2. It's €489 on the 6mth option.

I'm on it - thanks OP

Free on the 6 month 65 EUR p/m plan.
You have to give the page time to refresh

dont forget 30euro cashback with fatcheese when signing up as a new customer.
so you basically get a top end smart phone for 360euro and all the calls and texts free with plenty data for 6 months. seems like a deal to me.

    Cheers OP.

Just signed up there. As others have said, let's see if it goes through.

Spoke to emobile cancellations there. They didn't believe the plan so they put me on hold and checked it.

    Didn't even try and cajole.

    Great deal.

Nope, just checked. Still there on the €65/6mth option. Just done a mock purchase and got to payment screen. You sure you're doing it correctly ??

I can't get it for this. When I select the €65 6 month O2 open extra plus the price of the phone reverts to €419.

HTC One on same plan is €269.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,098 ✭✭✭Johnny_Fontane

my wife got offered a deal with o2 on Monday. 24 month contract, €18 per month, 150 mins/texts + 250mb data, free iphone 4s (8gb).

I thought it was quite an incredible deal considering the phone (which although a little old) retails at €399.

Shes a very low user of data, well non existent really (like 30mb last month), so it suits her down to the ground.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 870 ✭✭✭WildCardDoW

Don't think it's available anymore, I took advantage of the HTC One deal a while back, this is even better value.

    Lucky nuggets! 😋ðŸ˜

Nope, its gone. The best you do now to get the S4 free is:

    18mth - €70 per month plan
    24mth - €55 per month plan

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 310 ✭✭luvlyjubbly

Just got confirmation mail that my order is in store, ordered Tuesday night, Delighted :-) Fingers crossed they don't ask me to cough up anything when I collect!

Gone now again when I checked that's weird.

Suppose it must have been a mistake so. I still haven't heard anything from them to cancel my order.
