Not even going to lie, there is an extremely high chance i may have to sneak off to the toilet for a cry shortly! I'm only in just under an hour and already have clients giving out down the phone... far too fragile to deal with complaints or colleagues either for that matter!

Even my usual hangover cure of 1 solpadeine, 2 paracetomal and a berocca isn't helping! Serious sense of impending doom looming over me and I also have to train in a new person in the office later! :(

Somebody cheer me up and say you are equally as rough or worse off then me! if you are hungover at home and don't have work it doesn't count however! Feeling like death in bed would be heaven compared to this!

    Took the day off.
Dropped kids to school and now on sofa with tea and Netflix. It's not a bad Monday.

Still in bed, old job finished, new one yet to start. So sorry, can't really empathise. Now excuse me while I dance in celebration for the next 7 hours.

A breakfast roll followed by a liquid lunch will sort that out

Would rather a standard hangover instead of the awful sense of The Guilts that I have this morning.

2 x bottles of O'Haras pale ale last night watching Vikings.

Hangover free today, the sun is shining, works going well.

    Not a bad day.

I'm off for the next two weeks, so I didn't exactly hold off last night as I knew I'd be able to have a sleep in.

Of course my sister's new rat dog would wake me at 8 with it's yapping...the little sh*t

Nah it's half pug, half cavalier King Charles - my sister insists it's a "Pugalier". I insist such a breed doesn't exist and that's only a nice way to say it's actually just a mongrel.

I'm sure the breed could be classified in the 'postman ankle biter' class if your sister really insisted. Jack Russels are leading breed here.

I am 0% hungover because I'm far too old and sensible to be drinking on a Sunday night...actually I may have finally finally really learned my lesson because I've avoided it for quite a while now. Monday morning hangovers are near the worst...I used to throw 2 solpadeine into a bottle of lucozade, absolutely disgusting but if you could hold it down it did the job, if you couldn't it did the job too by getting the poisons out...BTW 1 solpadeine and 2 paracetamol is a bad idea as the solpadeine contains paracetamol and your liver is in enough trouble as it is...

paracetamol will actually make gugleguy worse. I can really only take limited quantity of aspirin, DISPIRIN DIRECT - that's violent.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,236 ✭✭✭Dr. Kenneth Noisewater

I'm 29 and I find I can't handle Monday morning hangovers the way I used to. I love a few pints on a Sunday night, but the last couple of years I find I'm no use to anyone on the Monday and invariably spend most of the day in a world of my own, counting down the hours until I can go home. I generally just don't bother anymore. God if my 22 year old self could hear me now!

I'm off all this week. HR asked me to take some leave as I have too much carried over.

    On the jacks now.

Will learn Little Green Bag on bass, have some lunch and then an afternoon snooze.

    I like monday. This week.

why can't the Irish Ads companies make ads like these. Too much rocket science I suppose.

I went for ONE pint yesterday and ended up necking shots of Cointreau and Red Bull with my two mates. Gick. There are questionable pictures on my phone and I also have 4 cashback receipts in my purse. I haven't looked at my bank account yet because I have major fear.

Standard Sunday session. And now I've got the standard Monday hangover where I'm fine and full of energy now but I know I will crash and burn in another hour or two.

I have been in the office since half 8, so far i have started up Adobe Fireworks, loitered around the After Hours forum, made 1 cup of coffee and 1 cup tea and spent 15 minutes or so on the toilet playing with my phone! I can't see myself becoming much more productive today either to be honest! if i could just put a call forwarder on the phone it would be easy street but I reckon that would be a complete give away to my boss that i'm on the doss! :P
    I like monday. This week.

    Get out!!

I'm only back an hour from a 14 hour bus journey where I was violently hungover and becoming more insane as each minute passed. I sit here on my couch contemplating life as my arse is on fire and I smell so fûcking bad. A regular hangover sounds so more appealing right now.

In absolute bits from messing on Friday and Saturday night. Feel like bursting into tears. I bet I'm the only person in this building right now in this bad a state. Oh I wish I could grow up...

That serious sense of impending doom is your liver giving up. Take one or the other, not both! Hint: one has codeine to take the edge off.

This is what i like to refer to as "Peter Pan Syndrome" I am inflicted with this curse myself! I always tell myself i will grow up one day but i haven't yet and I don't see the messing stopping any time in the forseeable future either! I also suffer with "Fear Of Missing Out" which doesn't help make things any better as i have a rubber arm that is easily twisted at the first mention of something that could possibly (but usually doesn't) lead to something that i'd hate to miss out on!

To be honest id say the ridiculous amount of pints followed by cocktails, shorts and shots was far harder on my liver then a few pain killers! I rarely take any tablets but when i'm violently hungover i do make an exception, for all the good its done me today though ugh...

I'm in the "ok until 10am and then a wave of seediness hits" phase. Ameliorated somewhat by buttery toast and tea, will be ok until 5 when it will come back with a vengeance.

I am on day 2 of my hangover, with a smashed screen on my phone. Also I have eaten my lunch already at breakfast so I will have to go out to buy more food :(

Great. I've sobered up now.

Much easier dealing with customers when clearly still locked.

I didn't hit the sauce that heavy over the weekend. Feeling pretty ok this morning. Headed into the jacks around 10am though and there was definitely men struggling with the results of weekend excess. Wretched smells, groans, squeaks and farts coming from the stalls.

Don't envy you...was in the same position on Friday. Struggled through an interview with a client while trying not to vomit, and control my shaking. Left work early when I had done that only to miss the bus and have to wait 45 minutes for the next one. Spent the bus journey huddled in a ball drifting in and out of sleep while sweating every bit of water out of my body. Then managed to throw up in a car park in front of some woman loading her shopping/kids into the car......gimme a hangover any day.

I work Saturdays so am allowed to come in late Monday or else take it off. There is no greater pleasure in life than Sunday drinking without having to get up at 7am the next day.

I'd prefer the Monday than give up my Saturday watching BOD's departure.

Eh, waking up, thinking you are going to have to get up and start getting ready for work, but then you realise it's Saturday......bliss.
