    Hi All,

So I'm looking for dome help on where to get started. For the last 8 years I've done ZERO exercise though surprisingly have kept an alright appearance since my GAA days. Unfortunately I have been dealing with depression and only now over coming it and I want to get my arse back in gear - the thing is I don't know where to start!

I was thinking of doing the C210K as I realise I can't run to catch up to a parked car! I was smoking 30 a day but haven't touched them in 6 weeks.

Also was thinking of joining a gym but not sure where to start. Primarily I'm trying to get fitness levels back as well as getting toned (and losing the man boobs!). I work in city centre so was thinking of joining a gym in town.

Any advice on where to start of at? Any help would be really appreciated!

Fair play to you for giving up the fags. I think a couch to 5 km programme would be a good place to start, you can repeat weeks if you need to. I find running in the fresh air a great mood lifter and you don't need much time or gear to get started. Slow and steady is the way to go and if you stick with it you will progress very quickly. Good for you getting yourself back on track, good luck and enjoy.
