Hi, I'd like to ask for a bit of advice if I could? I'm planning on starting a low carb diet this Monday, however, as I don't eat eggs and wouldn't be a fan of meats and cheeses first thing, would it be horrifically sabotaging to have a small bowl of porridge (30g or so ) with a scoop of protein added? Or maybe topped with nuts/ seeds?
    Thanks.

Don't look at any meal in isolation. Look at your day as a whole.

I sometimes make either a porridge with half oats and half ground Linseed or a pancake with the same ingredients with eggs. what you suggest would be ok as long as you can make it to lunch without thinking about food. Or maybe get some cinnamon tea (yogi) to have mid morning as cinnamon helps regulate blood sugar

No not at all. You can get away with up to 100g of carbs in a day (Some say 150g) on a low carb diet. Just once it fills you is the main thing. However there are plenty of breakfasts that would suit you if you started to feel guilty about the porridge.

If i cant stomach meat and cheese in the mornings i have blueberries, strawberries and walnuts covered in greek yogurt and and some avocado if you like them (seriously filling).
