what to wear in the gym

I'm new to the gym & rather than wanting to look good, I want to wear some decent gear and not stick out like a sore thumb...

Should I match colours? Should all my gear be from the same brand? Should my runners match my cloths?

I'm into the idea of wear sweat wicking shorts/t-shirts, but what is the usual etiquette, what is best to wear?

Final question, is Adidas 3 stripes okay/not? I don't want to look like I'm trying too hard, but need to buy all new gear, so may as well ask.

    Just wear whatever is comfortable.
No one is looking at your clothing choices, they're too busy focusing on themselves!

    Nobody cares! :)

For me who sweats like mad I dislike cotton tshirts and like Under Armour tshirts but tbh I get the same from €4 running tops from Lidl

Etiquette? Bring a towel OP and wipe down after you. But nobody cares about your brands or colour coordination, they are all doing their own workout.

Doesnt matter what you wear aslong as you wipe down afterwards. Theres a guy in my gym that wear no shoes (dont know how staff havent mentioned to him on a H&S point of view) but hes actually a nice fella.

Ive noticed in my gym, blue seems to be the most popular colour, sad for noticing that i know.

Since your location is the Middle East, I'm gonna say you should invest in an Adidas niqab to cover your face and wick away sweat at the same time. Unless you're a guy, in which case I really have no idea wtf this thread is...

You must wear yellow to indicate that you are new to the gym.

I personally like to b colour coordinated but that's only because I'm totally ocd and it makes me feel better! I find lidl gear great the quality is lovely. The thing I notice is that plenty in my gym come in in all the top gear looking like they mean business but then spend an hour wandering around stretching and not much else. Wear whatever is comfortable for you but please bring a towel and be prepared to sweat! :)
