I was having a bit of a read through boards where I came across a thread where another poster stated she never had a girlie weekend away, doing the usual girlie things etc.
It got me thinking about my own situation, Its not that I don't have friends but I am in my early 30 and at that stage where I don't see my friends as much any more just the normal facts of life where we all have moved on at different paces to the different stages of life. Are there any other ladies in cork in a similar situation who would like to meet up for spa days, shopping, brunch etc

I know there were a few attempts before at setting something similar up before. Ive seen it in the past with a friend abroad who is single finds struggle to deal with the fact she seems the only one left behind that isn't coupled up and doesn't have the same social outlet. Lisa, I hope it's okay I put down my own shout out. A thread to organised girly get togethers would be no bad thing.
I am 27 and based in Galway so not really near Cork (I'd like to be though). My interests are varied but being mainly in the slightly geeky scene has led me to mainly having male friends and I'd like to have some female friends too! I like fangirling (Tom Hiddleston, as people in the Who Makes Your Drool thread will know:D), horses, food/drink, cosmetics and ya know..stuff

We have a Ladies Lounge private meetup forum where you can discuss meetups away from the public side of the forum. If anybody wants access, just drop me (or one of the other mods) a PM.
