boat buddy & grunt boat cleaner

    hi all ...

    I have been given boat buddy 3 stage cleaner & grunt boat cleaning products as samples to try on my boat . has any body ever tried this product and is it any good . .

    They are both well known in the market place so they should do the job and as you got them free how about you show us a before and after shot :) If your worried about them try them on a small out of the way bit first.
    I find you can get very good fiberglass cleaners from most motor factors for a few quid less than anything that has the word "BOAT" on it :D

    what would you recommend from a motor factors for polishing a fiberglass boat i was told t-cut is good then a turtle wax .

    It would depend on how bad your gelcoat is as to what grit T-cut to get, I like G3 compound and then any car wax will bring up a good finish, WD40 is also good for cleaning rust stains. :)

    my boat is dead clean just want to give it a good waxing was going to buy boat wax but you know how expensive that can be . so it,s off to the motor factors with me tomorrow cheers mate . I was looking at the cracker box boat you built nice job hope you have many good years on her . great video .

    I find the turtle wax: polish/wax to be very good.

    If your gelcoat is very clean don't use any rubbing compounds as you will end up making more work for yourself just stick with the wax.

    well i have tried this grunt stuff and have to say it good stuff the hull of the boat was black from the rollers and it had been lying in the water for a while so just followed the instructing on the bottle and wella job done would recommend as a easy way to clean any hull ..
