Pizza delivery drivers

Last weekend I ordered a Pizza from the best known chain in Dublin. The driver turns up in a high powered Audi and delivers my Pizza, no hassle. Ordered a Pizza the following night and the same driver turns up outside my door and cheekily says "your the same person that ordered this last night". I was tempted to say "you're the same person that delivered this last night" but my ability not to be a prick got the better of me. Tonight, I ordered a Pizza from the same crowd and it was delivered again by a total tosser. Guy pulls up in what looked like a Ford Mondeo, real confident kind of guy, south Dublin accent, practically throws the food at me, gets back in his car and drives off. If these guys are such hotshots, they why do they deliver Pizzas for a living?

It's just a job dude. What way were they supposed to deliver it? I don't mind having banter on the doorstep with the pizza delivery driver.

Beats the **** out of chuggers, religious nuts and election candidates. Not to mention tv license inspectors.

I love pizza delivery drivers, from what I hear they get paid under minimum and are meant to make it up on tips, but they never loiter or milk tips. In fact sometimes when I pay online they kind of mention it when I reach into my pocket as a reminder that it's paid for, which often makes it seem like they're going out of their way not to milk it.

What I currently do for a living is irrelevant. In the past, I've worked in many shite jobs but never had an attitude or thought that I was too good for the job or better than the people I dealt with daily.

The ones that I always find odd are the delivery guys who have their girlfriends with them. Had one guy deliver Chinese and he repeatedly pointed to the girl in the cat and asked " you like? She so sexy, no". I genuinely think that he was trying to pimp her out to hungry individuals.

I don't get how you can mess up giving a box of pizza to someone and taking money and getting change. Honestly who cares if he's a dick. As long as it's hot on time and the whole transaction is quick who cares.

I know an "artist" whose made a total of €34 from his art over a 12 year career. During that times he's only worked a couple of months stacking shelves and has been drawing the dole for the rest. He went back to college in his late 20s and failed because he couldn't be bothered to hand in his final project or sit one exam. He does nothing all day but talk about his art and drink yet he recently got into a huge argument with the pizza delivery guy because he thought himself superior to the guy working a crappy job.

Pizza drivers in my area won't come into my estate, they stop at the main road and ring you asking you to walk out and collect it .
