    Hi Folks,

Serviced my 00 Corrolla 1.4 VVTI today for first time, normally done my a mechanic.

Only ever done one TDI before so an a novice and never changed sparks before. All of interest to service thanks to volvomans epic thread.

Sparkplugs 1 - 3 no issues but on 4th one (closest to oil cap) the top of engine has oil on top. Had seen this before but assumed in was spillage for top ups.

To me the plug tube seal (guess of name) is not flush to engine, perhaps a seal is corrided/warped?

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

Those are actually the coils on top of the plugs.
Over time with spillages during oil changes oil can make its way down the tunnels.
    Its nothing to worry about.
