    Hi

Thinking of purchasing a spin bike, but there does not seem to be a lot of information out there regarding reviews and stockists in Ireland.

Have found the following suppliers that seem to offer reasonable prices and free delivery:
    http://www.irishsportswarehouse.ie/catalog/exercise-bikes

Does anyone have any experience purchasing from here? Any other suggestions on what and where to buy would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers

Bought a Body Sculpture spin bike off the site a couple of years ago, BC4630. Doesn't seem to be sold anymore. Delivered on time, no issues at all. Still use it loads, it's a quality build.

    What about a turbo trainer?

If you're not fussy about it being brand new and shiney a second hand full commercial bike would be much better. They cost 1500-2000 new and weight around 60kg and are made to last. Used ones are often about 300 euro and feel much more sturdy and smooth.

The ones on that site look quality, thinking of geting one.
Does anyone know are they decent.

Thanks for the replies. Good to hear some positive feedback frostjacks. The specs and prices seem very good in comparison to other sites, so I was naturally a bit skeptical of quality.

@kingshankly: had considered a turbo trainer, but do not have a bike at the moment so the cost of bike + trainer would exceed dedicated spin bike. Plus from my previous experience with turbo trainers I remember them being quite loud to operate, which is something i'm trying to avoid.

@Mickk: i'm not concerned about second hand things in general, but my concern about buying an a second hand commercial bike is that it would probably be an ex-gym machine that is on its last legs. I've been to many spin sessions where several bikes would be broke, so the commercial ones don't necessarily last, particularly after several years of abuse from gym goers. However i am open to the idea, so if you have a link to where I might find a selection available please provide a link.

Things have moved on quite a bit. Something like a Cycleops Fluid is quiet enough to easily watch tv while training.

And of course with this option you've got an actual bike to do real live outdoor cycling when the mood takes.
