Scarlets to take on Munster at Parc y Scarlets, Saturday 1st March, kick-off 6.30pm:
15 Jordan Williams, 14 Kristian Phillips, 13 Jonathan Davies, 12 Olly Barkley, 11 Frazier Climo, 10 Aled Thomas, 9 Gareth Davies,
1 Phil John, 2 Emyr Phillips, 3 Samson Lee, 4 George Earle, 5 Johan Snyman, 6 Josh Turnbull, 7 John Barclay, 8 Rob McCusker ©

Replacements: Kirby Myhill, Rob Evans, Jacobie Adriaanse, Richard Kelly, Sione Timani, Rhodri Williams, Gareth Maule, Adam Warren

    Munster:
    Simon Zebo; Gerhard van den Heever, Casey Laulala, Denis Hurley, Johne Murphy; Ian Keatley, Duncan Williams;
Dave Kilcoyne, Duncan Casey, Stephen Archer; Donncha O'Callaghan, Donnacha Ryan; CJ Stander, Tommy O'Donnell, James Coughlan(Capt).

Replacements: Ger Slattery, James Cronin, BJ Botha, Dave Foley, Sean Dougall, Gerry Hurley, JJ Hanrahan, Ronan O'Mahony.

Scarlets are currently 13 points off the playoffs so this is more or less a must win for them. Munster can guarantee to stay at top spot on the table with a win.

The interesting selections come at 12 and 15 with Denis Hurley in for James Downey in the centre and Zebo moved to fullback in the absence of Felix Jones.

Jonathan Davies is selected for Scarlets as he looks to prove his fitness for Wales selection.

Jones is injured. Varley's situation is becoming a concern.

I think the signing of McDonald said as much unfortunately.

    Has he arrived yet?

Interesting selection. Also when I heard 8 changes I was thinking it would be a weakened selection. Goes to show the strength of the squad now.

Very strong Munster team, nice from your point of view to see the South African lads getting a run, as they're both pretty promising. Zebo obviously accomodating by being at full-back, but might it stifle his attacking threat somewhat? Is it a worthwhile trade off come Heineken Cup time? I suppose a lot of that depends on van den Heever proving he's worth making the compromise for. Murphy has been in the form of his life this season.

Haven't seen much of Hurley at 12, but he's obviously being looked at as the successor to Downey. Munster would probably hope for a bit more quality there though, summer shopping should be interesting - might be a battle between Munster and Leinster to get a centre in!!

Forgot Barkley signed for Scarlets, should add a bit more amusement to the hammering. Can see Munster getting a handy BP win in this one. Impressively strong bench from Munster too.

Posted this on the Munster thread as I didn't see this match thread

Very happy with that team, hope Gerry Hurley gets a run tomorrow evening, he might yet end up in our H/cup squad.

Zebo at FB again and Hurley at 12 is getting another chance, hope both have stormers.

Needless to say a win is needed to keep us top of the league but it's going to be tough, 6 day turn around and both games were away from home.

Looking at the teams I'd venture Munster to win but narrowly enough.

Very happy with that team, would rather see Zebo on the wing, but overall it's a strong unit & should be strong enough to win by a score or 2

He arrived yesterday so he should be in contention for the Treviso match next week.

He looks more like a centre than a hooker in that photo.

    Say there's an idea....

The league will have the image of a B league until attendances pick up for matches like this. This is hardly a dead rubber!

Very fast paced so far. A couple of missed tackles in the Munster backs so far though.

Commentary seems to be looping every so often.

Is the commentating clipping and repeating for anyone else? Its not in sync with the game either.

Yeah its behind by a good few seconds, and seems to loop when they try and fix it.

Why the hell can't RTE synchronize the commentary with the picture?

Last time I kept confusing Archer with Murphy, this time it's Tod.

Why the hell can't RTE synchronize the commentary with the picture?

It has skipped twice now with the soundtrack jumping back both times.

It's weird, the pitch/ref mics are fine, just the commentary.

Commentary is also out of sync on S4c.

We're hanging in there, Scarlets aren't putting points on the board for all the possession and territory.

    Kilcoyne's acceleration is scary.

They've apologised for the sound on their twitter account and said they're working on a fix.

No composure and terrible accuracy. Can't deal with the number the Scarlets are throwing into the ruck.
