Hi lads and ladies of fitness!

Quick one for you all. After years and years of heavy supplementation, my stomach in recent years has rejected sugary things (Fizzy drinks, chocolate, anything sugary really. And yes, I firmly believe it's the supplements that did it!). I've been mainly just trying to eat loads to make up for the inability to high carb, high sugar supplements! But, you get weird looks in the office and there's only so much bulgar wheat and black bean based salads a man can have!

I've also been using some Waxy Maize mixed in with my protein (Gold Standard 100% Whey) and with my oats in the morning. Trouble is , I need more carbs as my metabolism is still fast and I go to the gym 5 days a week!

Some have said Quinoa is a great option, others said take more Waxy Maize! Honestly, I can't afford to keep eating so much, so I need a supplement to replace these carbs and they can't be sugar rich! Ideas? I'm leaning towards a good grain blend like this.

    What about plain old oats?

Very hard to have a quick shaker full of oats while at the desk!

Blend the sh1t out of them at home, stick them in a shaker with milk or water at work. Job done.

I hope it will not sound stupid, but have you ever tried actual mass gainers products before? I would think you have since you say you were using supplements for years now?

Mass Gainers are always sugar rich, never seen one that doesn't get less than 50% of it's carbs from a sugar.

Blending oats you say... Will try that later!

I make my own protein bars out of a peanut butter, wholemeal flour, oats and raisins! Love Peanut butter. Have it on Apple slices too!
