Hiding in the bathroom

    Hi All,

I am currently off the analogs 2 months and enjoying life to the fullest. I love vaping and currently use DEA mint 9mg juice which is the best I have tasted.

For some reason, I don't like to use the vape outdoors. It kind of feels as if it isn't as strong. I also feel uncomfortable vaping indoors in public places.

I usually end up vaping in the bathroom cubicles as too not offend anyone. Does this happen to anyone else? I feel more like an addict now than when I smoked cigs.

I do agree vaping outside i fell like its missing something, i got so used to not smoking indoors in public i hardly bother vaping indoors publicly , unless at the pub which is all too seldom these days

Did you ask the barman was it okay to vape there is it just pressumed that we can?

I dont know why but I feel somewhat awkward having to ask!

I was very discrete about it i wasnt cloud chasing like.

When he came to collect glasses i made sure i was having a tote to judge reaction and not a blind bit of notice did he take.

Having said that personally i have no objection to vaping not being allowed in public place, and some of the advertising i have seen for some products i actually think myself should not be allowed, and i see this kind of advertising/cool image a small part of the reason why some neutrals frown on vaping.

I don't vape outdoors much but in the pub I do it hardcore, if I can't vape they can't have my money, easy as that.
Got some funny looks vaping in the airport though :-)

I'm the opposite, no problem vaping outdoors but apart from at home I never vape indoors. I'd say if I had to stay indoors away from home more than a couple of hours I'd be in the loo though! A lot easier for me to go without vaping than a cigarette, I've found. It's not the same as the desperate craving for a smoke.

Im finding since i switched to using 50/50 juice its better outside than a higher pg juice the vapor is a good bit thicker

I've only ever used 80% pg mixes because i need the hit, i have been planning on trying higher vg content so now at least i have an excuse.

    Thanks for the tip

Wow, you were on a mission eh. Well done, I'd say you're delighted with yourself. How was the transition from 9mg to 0mg? I went through a bit of a withdrawl the first three days after I switched from cigarettes to vaping fulltime, but nothing near as bad as cold turkey.

@Err Four I didn't drop immedietly down to be honest. I mixed 9mg with 0 and over the course of a few days kept dropping the amount of 9.

It was a mistake. I went out for a few pints and had about 5 smokes. I felt like hell the following day with a sore chest as well as the guilt. I think that i was naive and dropped so soon. I cant believe I let myself down I was doing so well :(

Ah don't beat yourself up too much, having five cigarettes doesn't have to mean you smoke again. You've done really well! Sure even if you stuck with 9mg for a while that's some achievement! :)

I've been vaping 18mg a month and a half and I'm still not ready in my head to drop to 12mg - give yourself a pat on the back for how far you've come.

Thanks a mil man. That helps alot!

I'm back on 50% DEA, Mint 9mg mixed with 0. Hopefully I will continue to make strides. I have a family occasion on Friday, worried that the drink will cause my downfall, so tempted to get a 16mg liquid just for nights out!

Glad to help, I'd been trying to stop smoking for a long time before now, and I know how ****e I felt when I smoked again - looking back, I realise now I just wasn't ready to stop, and those were just bumps in the road. I take my hat off to people like you who can drop down to barely any nicotine, I don't ever miss smoking anymore but I worry about getting cravings if I do drop to 12mg or lower. I guess the only way is trial and error :)

Best advice I can give you from my own experience is to remind yourself whether it's 9mg juice or 24mg, it's still infinitely better than smoking. Best of luck!
