Old news really, BBC dj, Scott Mills went out there & filmed a documentary exposing the peoples & governments attitude towards homosexuality.
The newspaper outed people frequently & when Mills mentioned to a govt minister that he too was gay during an interview, the interview was terminated & his hotel room ransacked within hours by forces of the state

Ireland does not anymore give money to the Ugandan state after corruption was found and all money was returned by the Ugandan Govt.

We now deal with only non state organisations which help the most vulnerable.

Whilst I offer no back up figures, I do offer that there are very few native gays in that country anyway, it's an excuse that in reality has nothing to do with sexual orientation, but one that can be sold to the local population, perhaps the easiest one to sell.
