Fitness watch

I've been thinking about getting a sports/fitness watch to help track my workouts etc.

I'd like something that can connect to the PC after the workout and send the data to it so I can review it.

Something that can calculate heart rate / distance / calories burnt etc.

I've see the Polar brand, but wanted to know what other people's views on it and other watches are.

    Thanks.

I have a polar FT40 and the "Flow Link" Cable that allows you to extract the data.

The data gets uploaded to their website where you can view it. To be honest I have only ever done this once. The long term info is not that important to me, maybe if you are into endurance sports etc its more interesting. I tend to only use the watch to gauge the exertion of particular exercises vs others

if anyone uses a different brand and could post a review that would be great.

I use the Garmin Forerunner 610. An excellent GPS watch that stores all of my runs. It also came with an ant stick which plugs into the USB port on my laptop. When i come back from my run the data is automatically uploaded to my Garmin connect profile wirelessly.

What i can anyalize from my runs are: Distance, Pace, Calories Burned, Miles or KM splits and a useful item called Virtual Trainer which you can set up to race against. The watch is touch screen enabled and comes with a charging cradle. You can purchase it a bit cheaper on eBay. Hope this helps.

I use the Garmin Forerunner 110. gives you all the above and can also take a heart rate monitor.

I use a Garmin 901xt. It works great for swim, bike or run. Before that I had a Forerunner 405. DO NOT buy one of those. They have a glitchy touch bezel which will drive you crazy.
