Fair play I'd say the farmer was glad of you taking care of that.

I remember shooting a fox one morning about 10 years ago and when I walked up on him I found a fresh lamb alive and well beside him. I rang the farmer he said take the fox away and leave the lamb their to see if it's mother would come back to him. After about 10 minutes the farmer met me at the gate and sure enough the herd went over and all seemed well, until 2 lurchers came through a gap in the ditch and start chasing the sheep. Needless to say they met the same faith as Charlie but it's easy forget how much damage fox and dogs can do to a mans livelihood.

Well done anyway lad I'm sure you've secured life time permission on that land.
