Looking at some of the issues people were having with E global recently I didn't have the balls to go with them :o Went with E-infinity instead and no issue at all. The lens was priced about €100 more than E global but they dropped the price to €5 below E global once I pointed it out to them. Arrived within a week and everything good. Just another option for anyone weary of E global. Just remember to ask them for better prices and chances are they will.

I ordered a Gimbal last Saturday and DPD delivered this morning. Excellent service. Item shipped from Surrey, UK.

Thinking of getting the Garmin Fenix 5x. Anyone buy one off these guys?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 53 ✭✭Shane12

I bought a garmin fenix 3 from them and it never arrived, would avoid buying this from them.

I'm planning on buying new camera and lens ... and have being doing some homework on what and where to buy. To buy on high street here in Ireland would broadly cost me €1,000 more for what I was looking at. I am planning on getting EOS 7D Mark II and the Canon 70-200 Mark II with image stabiliser. I know the 7D is a few years old now, and the 6D is potentially a better buy over all (full frame etc), but balancing the budget and what I ideally want to use the camera for (athletics/sports photography-amateur) I think the burst rate on the 7D is possibly worth it. €500 in the difference! I'll probably get the grip for extra battery - apparently the 6D has twice the life. E-Infin is a good bit cheaper than eGlobal.

Has anyone any thoughts? Thanks in advance :)

Jesus I'm so angry, paypal just closed my dispute with eglobal ruling in their favour. They said "Your seller has provided shipment tracking information in response to your claim. We used the shipping company's online tracking service and found that it confirms delivery of the merchandise.".
I don't know what tracking info eglobal supplied to paypal but my original tracking details still saying customs clearing in progress since 21st Sept.
Have to lodge an appeal now

Edit: Did anyone go down the bank credit card refund route? I might have to do this if paypal are going to screw me over

Can you ask Paypal to provide E-global provided shipment tracking information?

Yes that's what I asked in my appeal. Have to wonder if eglobal are providing paypal with some bogus tracking info? I was on to my bank, getting the forms sent out to me to do a chargeback if paypal reject my appeal.

The whole thing with E-global is a joke. I would not mind to wait 2 months considering 20-30% better price than others but they just cannot replay to my at least 10 times sent emails regarding my order. I have also already contacted Paypal, waiting for replay till 9th November. Hope i won't get the same BS like you. Just wondering if there is some authority we could send all this so they can get E-global to start doing their job eventually.

I'm probably going to get the same. I'm meant to be getting an answer on the 9th I think.

As we are getting close to Christmas, I wonder is there now a higher chance of getting hit for customs charges if I was to order a camera from eglobalcentral, my young lad is looking for the canon EOS 1300D for christmas and there's a nice price difference between buying from them or buying here in Ireland

The cheapest Ive found in Ireland was with Sam McCauleys was €399 with a €24 cashback but the same camera from eglobal is €370 but that price also includes the standard 18-55 lens along with the 75-300 lens, I'm notsure what to do to be honest.

Go with E-infinity. Delivered in a week with no issues. E global would have me worried with all the messing around that some people here are getting.

They don't seem to have the EOS 1300D on their site though

Hmm my bank account is now showing a refund for the amount I paid eglobal but paypal dispute appeal is showing as still in progress and awaiting seller response

Ya I got an email this morning saying in the aopeal they have now ruled in my favour. Faith in paypal restored somewhat although still quite disconcerting I had to appeal in the first place

Thinking of buying a MacBook Air with eGlobal, it's about €400 cheaper than anywhere else I've looked. I've gone through a bit of this thread and it seems pretty mixed, I've also gone through trustpilot which also has quite mixed feelings about this site. Has anyone on here bought a MacBook from them and if so how did it work out for you??

Did you have to pay for postage from them, I just spoke to them and they told me that postage to ROI is £19.99, that brings the price up to close to €350 so really just a savings of €25 against the likes of Harvey Norman and Sam McCauleys after cashback. And with it only being a UK warranty any savings could be wiped out in the event of the warranty claim being needed.

I'm planning to buy a camera from this site and I decided to order a lens as a test to see how the delivery was. I ordered the Canon 50mm 1.8 as also is not that expensive, so in case of trouble wouldn't be too bad.
It took around 2 days after the payment to get me a tracking link for my package but after that everything was great. The parcel was managed for DPD and it came through Manchester. I took them 1 week to delivered. I ordered it 10/10 and I got it 17/10.
I know it could be slightly different as it was a small package, but the overall experience was excellent an I was able to follow the package and check every stage. I will consider to buy a camera soon.

Any update on how you got on with the lens? Looking to order a Nikon 35mm and unsure weather to take the jump. €40 price difference between Eglobal and Amazon. Tempted to go with Amazon for peace of mind.

I ordered a Nikon 35m 1.8 and had it within a few days. They seem to be better on photographic equipment than phones.

Looking for some advice from those who bought from E-infinity before. They're called e-infin now, seem to have some competitive prices there. But their website behaves very dodgy, which gives me an alert of staying away. One example: I have stuff in the cart, trying to checkout as a guest or using my Google account or Facebook and I can't get beyond the "Redirecting to PayPal" message! Tried on a tablet, smartphone, laptop, PC. Different browsers, too.

Is it just me or do they have website technical issues? Maybe heavy traffic now given the Black Friday weekend?

I used them for the first time last week, no problem at all and they were very quick. Maybe 3 days or so from order to delivery. They would only take PayPal.

Bought some kit from them last August.
    Perfectly smooth transaction.
    As above.
    Paypal payment.

Thanks for additional comments on the e-infin website, much appreciated lads:).

Finally got the issue sorted, it was related to browser after all, using Safari solved the "stuck on PayPal redirecting" message for good. Got 2 EN-EL15A off them, very good deal to get 2 for €110 (free shipping!) rather than buying one for nearly €90 from camera stores in the country.

I'd say e-infin are a very capable competitor to eglobalcentral in some way, time will tell if they manage to keep prices competitive as well.

e-infinity have the Olympus Pro 12-40mm on sale for 469euro at the moment, cracking deal

So the general consensus is to stay well clear of eglobal?

I bought a phone from them in August.
