Do you genuinely hate anyone

I've often been told that hate is a very strong word and that it's harsh to say you really hate an individual but i can say that i genuinely hate at least 2 people with a passion that i can think of off the top of my head and i'm sure if i thought of it for long enough i could think of a few more! Definitely two though that i despise even the sight of!

No, not even close. I really dislike some other people but I think if I hated someone or if I was even capable of that level of emotion I'd need psychiatric help.

Nothing wrong with hating someone who has severely wronged you, so long as it doesn't damage your life in other ways and you're not obsessed/carrying out harm on others. If that's how you feel, that's how you feel. Some people do horrific stuff to other people and there's nothing wrong with them being hated for it.

Can't think of anyone I hate, just dislike or feel indifference to. But I wouldn't always view hate as unreasonable. Some people deserve to be hated, even if these are extreme examples.

I could never let an emotion like that dictate my actions or take over my life, but i whole heartedly know that i really hate a couple of people! I don't hate anyone. I'm lucky never to have held grudges against people who made my life difficult when I was a kid and lucky to never have anyone hurt me badly as an adult.

One person came close to destroying my family, to tearing my Dad's life apart. Thankfully they didn't succeed, if they had, I would hate them. Instead, I just pity them.

I would imagine that to truly hate someone would mean that you despise their very existence and wish the possible worst for them, I havnt met anyone so far that would fit into that column but there is a few that I'll never get on with but would just wish mild discomfort on them, stuff like the chain coming off their bike or stepping on a lego.

There is one person that has caused me untold grief, and even done physical harm to me and others I know; and remains a genuine threat.

I feel very sorry for the people that were hurt. I sometimes wish him harm
but then I feel bad because that wont fix anything. Its just anger not hate.

I still have not figured out if my inability to hate is a weakness or a strength.

Yes, two people specifically. I've come around to tolerate others I previously thought I hated but these two particulars stepped over a line. Feeling only kicks in when I see them though, not on my mind otherwise.

I've a very strong dislike for a few individuals but not to the point of what I'd call 'hate'. Once these people keep out of my way (and me out of their way) then there's no problem. For all I know they probably dislike me as much if not more.

I agree that hate is a strong term and to be honest, if the individuals I dislike strongly were in a life a death situation and I was in a position to help then yes, I'd help them. Not helping would be shame on me.

That said, nobody has done any physical or emotional harm to me so maybe I'm not in a position to define 'hate'.

I tried to think who did I hate but its more like dislike with a passion or distrust (and good luck getting my trust back)! Most of the people who I don't like or didn't get on with...I've just ignore them and get on with my life...no point........some of the people who I distrust can't get rid of them and they never surprise me anymore! As long as they don't bother or interfere with my life, I'l keep them at arms length.

I don't hate anyone I know in real life. I strongly dislike, or pity, or wish discomfort or inconvenience on them as a result of their behaviour towards me or my loved ones.

However, I do hate certain members of a certain "Institute", and a couple of others of their ilk. I genuinely hate them.

I don't hate anybody I personally know. There have been times in my life where I've strongly disliked people or distrusted them, but they don't really feature much in my life anymore, so that's kind of faded now.

There's still plenty of time left for me to meet my mortal enemy.

No. To hate someone is to give them permanent residence in your head, where they fester away. I prefer to forget them, and spend my brain cells on more worthwhile subjects.

There's one person I absolutely hate. This person is the most volatile and disgusting thing I have ever had the displeasure of knowing. They did something very awful to me that I can never forgive. I try not to let it bother me but unfortunately they are a relative so often I would get reminders.
